Cristiano Ronaldo seemingly available for the weekend

Having missed Man United’s weekend draw with Leicester because of illness, it looks like Cristiano Ronaldo is back available. Their official website posted a video of Wednesday’s training session, which included the Portugal talisman.

Those who still own Ronaldo can now keep him for the promising trip to Everton at the weekend, before playing twice in Double Gameweek 33. The second half of that is back on Merseyside versus Liverpool but after a nice home match with Norwich.

Man United closing in on appointing Erik ten Hag as new manager

Several reputable sources such as BBC and Sky Sports News confidently state that Ajax boss Erik ten Hag will be Man United’s manager next season. After interviews with several candidates, the Dutchman impressed senior figures the most and a compensation package is now being discussed. Mauricio Pochettino misses out.

An official announcement does not seem imminent and, with Ajax still battling with PSV Eindhoven for the Eredivisie title, there may be a futher delay out of respect. Former Old Trafford goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar is their chief executive.

Naturally, this has begun a new set of rumours as to which staff and players will accompany him. Names like Harry Kane, Declan Rice, Ruben Neves, Jurrien Timber and John McGinn are part of this.
