Serie A Fantasy Round 29 Top Picks

After some interesting twists and turns in the latest round we look ahead. There are some great fixtures to attack this week so we bring in our regular contributor @FPL_Crisk to reel off his Serie A Fantasy Round 29 Top Picks.

@FPL_Crisk has become one of the most respected and seasoned managers in the world. Because of this checking out his Serie A Fantasy Round 29 Top Picks could be extremely beneficial, not just for the round fixtures ahead but also for long-term planning.

Vanja Milinkovic-Savic (€5.8m – 17.0%)

Did you know Milinkovic-Savic is only four points behind Lautaro Martinez? Torino’ defence has performed extremely consistent during the season despite major injury blows throughout. Udinese on the other hand are a lacking team offensively, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the match ends up with less than two goals overall.

Mile Svilar (€4.4m – 1.1%)

Rui Patricio has fallen down the ranks, and Svilar has been fantastic for Roma in the last few weeks. At his price he could easily function has a backup to Sommer in most teams, and there is nothing better than a home fixture against a struggling Sassuolo to start with.

Defenders – Gleison Bremer (€5.8m – 45.6%)

Juventus’ backline has returned to full strength after a month of injuries and suspensions between Danilo and Bremer. The Atalanta fixture was obviously very difficult, but hosting Genoa should remind everyone the reason why they are one of the best defences in the league.

Sam Beukema (€5.4m – 13.4%)

Thiago Motta has rotated his CBs quite a bit this season, but Beukema always feels like the most reliable pick out of them. Bologna have been quite good being the third best team in the league in terms of goals conceded, and with a Champions League spot to defend I predict them to continue on this good run.

Midfielders – Christian Pulisic (€8.6m – 35.0%)

Fresh off a decisive goal on Sunday, he’s probably going to be one of the best Milan picks going forward. We have seen how much Leao has been shifted to a supportive role being second for assists, while the American gets more chances to go for goal himself.

Riccardo Orsolini (€8.0m – 7.6%)

A bit pricy, way more than Ferguson who has a similar amount of returns, but with Zirkzee probably not fit the Italian winger is also going take back his penalties. He will also want to show he’s able to carry the team by himself, as a national team call-up for the Euros could be on the horizon for him and Thiago Motta has been benching him from time to time.

Forwards – Duvan Zapata (€7.6m – 14.9%)

I usually praise Torino for their amazing defensive assets, but Zapata has gone quite under the radar this season, with nine goals and three assists. Most other forwards are also injured, busy in tougher matchups, or worn out from European competitions during the midweek.

Romelu Lukaku (9.4m – 35.7%)

Roma have only lost against Inter since De Rossi took charge of the team from José Mourinho. Their UEL quarter final qualification should be a done deal after dispatching Brighton last week, so I am expecting them to play at their best during the weekend. Italy are in pole position for a 5th UCL slot, so every single point is going to count as Atalanta, Napoli and Fiorentina are on the hunt.
