Serie A Fantasy Round 29 Top Picks

The new season continues so we reveal the Serie A Fantasy Round 29 top picks. Regular contributor and Serie A expert @FPL_Crisk comes in to pick out two of the best players in each position for the new round.
It isn’t long before the new Round commences. So, knowing which players have the most potential could be hugely beneficial. It could also help with other parts of the game including captaincy, chip strategies and long-term transfer plans.
Goalkeepers
Vanja Milinkovic-Savic (€7.2m – 28.4%)

Third week in a row, I swear I don’t do it on purpose, but he’s one of the first two players (we’ll talk about the second a couple of picks later) to reach the 200 pts mark. At home against Empoli, he can easily be a captaincy option.
Alex Meret (€6.0m – 9.7%)

Apart from Milan and Bologna in the following two rounds, Napoli will only face teams ranked 10th or below until the end of the season: Meret could now become a viable set and forget goalkeeper.
Defenders
Giovanni Di Lorenzo (€7.4m – 57.5%)

The second player to reach the 200 pts mark is obviously Di Lorenzo. The fact that he is still the game’s top scorer despite not getting more than seven points for Rounds straight is a testament to his greatness. Napoli’s great run of fixtures will surely have him improving on his record.
Evan Ndicka (€5.4m – 14.1%)

Roma’s congested fixtures have lead to heavy rotation, involving key players like Angelino and Saelemaekers. Ndicka is the only one who has seems safe from Ranieri’s purge: the CB has played every single minute of Roma’s Serie A season. Next, Cagliari away after four clean sheets in the last five Rounds.
Midfielders
Eljif Elmas (€5.6m – 0.3%)

The Macedonian winger has started his Torino career in great fashion, scoring three goals in his first four fixtures. He’s now nailing a starting spot for Torino at LW.
Florian Thauvin (€6.4m – 29.1%)

After a seven week drought, Thauvin has returned to form with three goals in the last four Rounds. Udinese will face the worst defence in the League next, so it’s safe to expect the world from Udinese’s attack.
Forwards
Lorenzo Lucca (€6.0m – 6.9%)

Speaking of Udinese’s attack, it would be a disservice not to mention Lorenzo Lucca. His output is not as good as Thauvin’s but as a forward in this game you take what you can get. Verona is the right fixture for the Italian striker to match his French teammate.
Andrea Pinamonti (€7.2m – 7.4%)

This Round is particularly Tricky, as most valid strikers are stuck with difficult fixtures. There aren’t many good options available, so Pinamonti can be a good pick at home against a Lecce side far from their best form.
