Expert team reveal for Sky Fantasy Gameweek 2

With the deadline inching closer we take a look at an expert team reveal for Sky Fantasy Gameweek 2. Fantasy Football Scout contributor @FFScout_Tom comes in to share his team and explain the rationale behind some of his selections and thoughts.

Which defenders should we pick? Which strikers should be making our squads? Our expert could help bring clarity to Sky Fantasy Gameweek 2 decisions you have to make in your own team to give you an edge over your competition.

Introduction

After all the build-up, GW1 is done and dusted. In this article, I will review the game week just gone and look ahead to GW2 in Sky Fantasy Football.

Gameweek 1 Review

It was a solid start to the Sky season, GW1 resulted in 101 points and a rank of 45K. Most importantly, I’ve still got 50 transfers left! Haaland, Saka and Salah all delivered captaincy points with Sam Johnstone in goal returning a clean sheet at just 1% ownership!

Four of my players blanked, however, I’m not too concerned. Nakamba was just one tackle short of getting Tier One points, Gibbs White was in purely for the captaincy this Friday and Colwill was only five passes short of Tier One in his hardest early fixture. Rashford was disappointing, however, he will surely come good!

Outside of my team, a couple of potential enablers caught my eye. Vini Souza at Sheffield Utd came on for his debut and made two tackles in just 10 minutes. Also, Yves Bissouma at Spurs completed over 100 passes in his game at Brentford.

Notes

All being well, I’ll be making one transfer this week, which will be to move on Gibbs White after his Friday night fixture. I’m slightly frustrated that I can’t afford another Chelsea asset on Sunday. Consequently, I’ll likely go to Richarlison ahead of a fixture run consisting of Man United, Bournemouth, Burnley and Sheffield United.

Three of the four captains pick themselves in my opinion; Gibbs White (Friday), Haaland (Saturday) and Watkins (Sunday). Monday is slightly more tricky, in my team it’s between Saka and Saliba. The latter seems to have the higher ‘floor’ as he should get passing tier, however, the former has explosive potential and is more highly owned. The armband is currently on Saka for those reasons.

Good luck with GW2, especially if you are braver than me and want to take on Haaland with the captaincy on Saturday!
