In this article we take a look at a Sky Fantasy Gameweek 28 expert team reveal. We bring in Fantasy Football Scout contributor @FFScout_Tom to review his latest Gameweek, reveal his team, discuss his transfers and highlight captaincy for the round ahead.

Our Sky Fantasy Gameweek 28 expert team reveal can really help other managers in the build up to the deadline. Our expert is flying in the overall rankings. So, knowing his plans can bring light or clarify some of our own.

Introduction

The matchdays and fixture gains keep coming apace. In this article, I’ll review the Gameweek just gone and look ahead to the weekend in Sky Fantasy Football, enjoy!

Gameweek 27 Review

It was another high-scoring week in Sky FF with plenty of transfers being used by engaged managers.

I made the most of Bournemouth and Arsenal’s immediate fixture gains, buying two of each on Sunday and Monday respectively. Solanke and Zabarnyi came in for Van Dijk and Doucoure. Solanke needs no explanation and thankfully he proved his fitness. I decided to double up with Zabarnyi to put some money in the bank. Fortunately I didn’t go Senesi (very unlucky if you did). On Monday, I had always planned to buy Saka for Foden and captain him. In the end I also made the decision to get Gabriel as well for the two-for-zero over Dunk. Luckily, it paid off with Arsenal getting a clean sheet.

Elsewhere, it seemed like all the highly owned assets had a good week. Watkins (30) delivered as Saturday’s captain, Van Dijk (10) and Saliba (10) added passing tier to a clean sheet, Rodri (11) did what he does and Foden (20) continued his incredible run of form. Overall, I managed to crack the top 100 with my 144 points taking me from 137th to 80th in the rankings.

Gameweek 28 Preview

There’s no time to dwell with four matchdays coming thick and fast this week!

Firstly, focusing on captaincy. There are a couple of tricky calls this weekend. However, Monday and Wednesday are not tough decisions with Cole Palmer (who I will be buying on the day) and Solanke definitely the best options on paper for Chelsea and Bournemouth’s single gamedays.

Saturday and Sunday are less straightforward. For the former, it’s a decision between Saka (BRE) and Solanke (SHU). It’s hard to look beyond Arsenal’s form, they are scoring goals for fun and Brentford’s defensive injury list is also lengthy. The fact we don’t see the Bournemouth team and we know Solanke is carrying a slight niggle will probably push me towards captain Saka. On Sunday the conversation is wide open. I haven’t ruled out Erling Haaland an Anfield but will probably look elsewhere. Brighton options at home to Forest look ok but unfortunately we are very unlikely to see the team sheet. For that reason, I’m looking to the ever-consistent Watkins (TOT) who is almost guaranteed to have chances against Spurs’ high line.

Moving onto my planned transfers, on top of buying Palmer for Pascal Groß to cover Monday’s captaincy, I’ve also got a further three moves pencilled in. Unusually for this format, I’m going to make a move on Saturday, taking out Ederson before he plays for Neto. Bournemouth have got four winnable home games in row and he’s also a great price. In addition, On Sunday, I’ll be saying goodbye to Gabriel and Saka, swapping them for the Spurs duo Heung-Min Son and Christian Romero. Spurs also have a four-for-one over Arsenal, with the one being Man City away.

These four moves will leave me with over £6 million in the bank, which will allow Mo Salah and potentially Van Dijk to come in as early as GW30.

Thanks for reading and good luck for GW28.  The deadline is back to its usual time this weekend, with Man Utd and Everton playing at 12.30pm (GMT), so remember to finalise your teams and set your captains!
