Serie A Fantasy Expert Team Reveal for Round 14

Round 13 saw victories for Milan, Salernitana, Frosinone and Roma. Get ready for the new fixtures as we take a look at a Serie A Fantasy expert team reveal for Round 14 provided by regular @FplRossoneriHe also shares his general thoughts around captaincy.

Checking out a Serie A Fantasy expert team reveal for Round 14 can be extremely beneficial for other fantasy managers. Twitter is full of some of the most experienced fantasy managers around so catching up with their plans could help bring clarity within our own teams.

Introduction

Welcome to my GW14 team reveal for Serie A Fantasy. Here, I pen down my thoughts about the team, my transfers if any, and my captain for each upcoming GW.

Looking at GW13 first. There I got 90 points with a high GW average of 70 points. It was a small green arrow again which takes me from 755th to 556th in the world and 4th in Germany after GW13.

The stars of the GW for me were Theo Hernandez and Domenico Berardi. They scored 17 and 15 points respectively. There are some good fixtures to target in GW14 for the likes of Milan, Lazio and Fiorentina.

Round 14 Team Reveal (subject to change)

Goalkeeper

  • Lorenzo Montipo (€4.6m) – This GW I will again be playing Montipo as GK because Turati is away at Milan. Even with Milan’ form I do expect Turati to concede a few goals. Montipo himself has racked up saves and is second for most saves from open play with 45 in the first 13 GWs. Verona play Udinese away. I do expect a decent showing from the Verona GK especially after only getting two points in the last GW.

Defenders

  • Giovanni Di Lorenzo (€7.2m) – Giovanni Di Lorenzo was back to his normal service last GW. There he gave an assist and scored 10 points in the win against Atalanta. Di Lorenzo owners now have Inter in the next GW. It could be very tight in terms of the game itself and thus my hope is Di Lorenzo knicks a half-time CS at the very least.
  • Theo Hernandez (€6.8m) – My second defender for GW14 will be Theo Hernandez from AC Milan. Milan won at home 1-0 vs Fiorentina in which Theo earned and scored the penalty as Giroud was not on the pitch due to suspension. Theo is also slowly starting to show why he is the second most expensive defender in the game. I hope he continues his form in the upcoming games. Theo and Milan play Frosinone and I hope he can again bring in some good points.
  • Diego Llorente (€4.6m) – My third and final defender in GW14 will be Llorente. He has been missed badly in defence for Roma. This showed as they instantly kept a clean sheet in GW12 against Lazio. Unfortunately, even though Roma conceded a goal vs Udinese in GW13, I do expect them to tighten up. Roma will now be up against a buoyant Sassuolo but I have to play Llorente as my other two defenders have even tougher games.

Midfielders

  • Domenico Berardi (€10.4m) – Berardi showed yet again why keeping faith in him in Serie A Fantasy is vital as he scored a brace and got 15 points for managers. Berardi will again be one of my midfield players for GW14 when Sassuolo battle it out against Roma. Berardi has Cagliari, Genoa and Udinese in the next three GWs after Roma so I will be keeping him in the team mid-term.
  • Andrea Colpani (€5m) – My cheap enabler is Colpani for this GW even though Monza play Juventus. At just a 5m price he already has six goals and one assist in 13 starts in a good Monza team. I also expect him to keep going with his form in the coming GW against Cagliari at home. Colpani has scored all of his six goals at home so expect a good performance from him.
  • Morten Frendrup (€4.4m) – My second cheap enabler is Frendrup who is quietly going about his business at least from a fantasy perspective. He now has racked up 78 TBIs in just 13 games which is the highest in the league by 24 TBIs. He also gives owners the assurance that no matter what he can always get anywhere between 5-7 points every GW. He will be up against Empoli in GW14 and I expect a load of TBI points again at the very least.
  • Nicolas González (€6.8m) – One of my FTs this week will see me replace a cheap enabler in my team with Gonzalez. He has been great for Fiorentina this season. In 12 games he has six goals and one assist and has notched up 86 points in Serie A Fantasy. At just 6.8m price he offers great value. Fiorentina will play Salernitana in GW14 and given their loss to Milan last week Italiano will want his boys to bounce back ASAP.

Forwards

  • Romelu Lukaku (€9.2m) – Lukaku now has six goals and one assist in 10 starts for Roma. He is also sharing the role of talisman with Paulo Dybala. He only got an assist in their latest win against Udinese. However, I expect him to come good against a Sassuolo side known to concede goals. Roma will play Sassuolo in GW14 and Lukaku will look to make his mark again.
  • Lautaro Martinez (€11.2m) – Martinez looks a level above everyone else at the moment in Serie A given he has 13 goals and one assist in just 13 games for Inter. Lautaro scored yet again vs Juventus in GW13. I expect some fireworks again when Inter play Napoli in GW14. Lautaro is a firm hold given his form and I wont be surprised if he does well again in GW14.
  • Ciro Immobile (€7.2m) – Immobile is my other FT this week. I feel getting him in early before he goes on a run in terms of getting goals is a viable option. I will be sacrificing Scammaca for the same but think long term it is the right thing to do! Immobile looks to be back in form scoring a brace to help Lazio qualify to the next round in UCL. He also scored in the last GW and with the other Lazio ST injured, I can see Immobile getting regular mins. He is also a great shout for Captaincy this week.

Captaincy

At the moment of writing this article it is currently on Theo Hernandez for reasons I have mentioned above. Ciro Immobile is also in the running for captaincy as things stand.

As per usual, I will try and let everyone know on Twitter before the deadline so make sure you are following me on there @FPLRossoneriNick

That’s it for my GW14 Team reveal, See you in GW15. Until then best of luck for GW14 in Serie A Fantasy, may all your arrows be green.
