The top five

  • Erling Halaand (£14m – Manchester City- 89.9%) – The English holders beat Burnley 3-0 in Gameweek 1 and their focal point to the attack and penalty taker Haaland bagged a brace – picking up a huge 13 points. Haaland faces Newcastle in the next round.
  • Bukayo Saka (£8.5m – Arsenal – 61.5%) – Saka helped Arsenal claim a 2-1 victory against Nottingham Forest in Gameweek 1 with a fantastic strike. He also finished the round with 10 points and has a game against Crystal Palace up next.
  • Pervis Estupinan (£5m – Brighton – 53.4%) – Brighton completed a convincing win over newly promoted side Luton with a 4-1 victory. Estupinan may have conceded and picked up a yellow card but his assist and bonus helped him to secure a 7-point return. He faces Wolves in Gameweek 2 so could have plenty of potential.
  • Marcus Rashford (£9m – Manchester United – 50.6%) – Manchester United have an interesting matchup with Tottenham in Gameweek 2. Rashford will be hoping to help his side win. He managed to edge every other midfielder last season for big chances total.
  • Kaoru Mitoma (£6.5m – Brighton – 38.8%) – Brighton weren’t shy of goals against Luton and one of their star players contributed. Mitoma bagged five points for his assist and has a good opportunity against Wolves in the next round to continue his form.

The bottom five

  • Kieran Trippier (£6.5m – Newcastle – 33.8%) – Newcastle dismantled Aston Villa in their opening fixture 5-1. Trippier failed to make any goal contributions during the game and ended the round on two points. He faces a tough fixture next against Manchester City.
  • Gabriel (£5m – Arsenal – 32.5%) – It was a tough Gameweek 1 for Gabriel as he failed to start the game and picked up one point from his short feature. Managers will also be nervous about if he will start his next match against Crystal Palace.
  • Mohamed Salah (£12.5m – Liverpool – 28.3%) – Liverpool will be hoping to beat Bournemouth in the round ahead. It good be a big week for Salah owners as Bournemouth were one of the worst defences in the league last season.
  • Andre Onana (£5m – Manchester United – 28%) – Manchester United could find it tough to keep a clean sheet against Spurs this week. Onana is the only goalkeeper to make it into the top 10 highest owned players going into Gameweek 2.
  • Bruno Fernandes (£8.5m – Manchester United – 27.7%) – The midfielder takes most of the Reds set plays including free kicks and penalties. He will be looking to help his side claim a tough on paper game against Spurs.
