When making FPL decisions many FPL managers mentally predict the outcome of matches and use this to target players.

The community score predictions panel is back for another season. In these articles we will ask the panel to consider the questions that FPL managers ask themselves ahead of setting up their teams:

  • Who will win?
  • Will there be a clean sheet in this match?
  • How many goals can I see being scored?
  • How many players do I want to play in this game?

Our community score predictions panel share their predictions for Gameweek 2 and consider what this might mean for our FPL plans.

Key talking points

The panel are unanimous in their feelings that Spurs and Leicester will win at home in Gameweek 2. They also believed that Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City will win away. With the exception of FPL Inzaghi they also all believe that Liverpool will win away at Old Trafford. FPL Rabbi is also the only members of the panel that thinks Forest will get a win against Everton, the rest are all backing a draw.

The panel are predicting 27 clean sheets this week. They all, believe that Man City will again keep a clean sheet, therefore they could be good for the defensive double up. With the exception of FPL Shake n Bake the the panel also believe Chelsea will keep a clean sheet against Leeds.

Between them the panel have predicted 154 goals will be scored. Spurs and Arsenal are predicted to score the most goals in Gameweek 3. The panel have all predicted Liverpool and Man City to score well. Therefore these are potentially attacking teams for FPL managers to target.

FPL Comment: FPL Shake n Bake

With Man United looking all out of sorts, I’m expecting a bumper day for Liverpool assets. In a similar way to what happened in these fixtures last season. Darwin could be a great option as well as a big differential for FPL managers, especially with the United defence looking all out of sorts
