FPL Price Reveals
Ahead of FPL’s relaunch, we are starting to see the release of some prices. The official FPL twitter account has told managers the prices a number of the Arsenal players. Man City themselves tweeted about their FPL prices. These price reveals will help managers in the thinking about what FPL players they may want in their squads ahead of the game launch.
Arsenal
The Premier League tweeted some Arsenal price reveals ahead of the 2022/23 FPL season. The recent tweet from @OfficialFPL assigned the following price tags for 2022/23:
FPL Comment: Bukayo Saka has been priced at £8.0m for the 2022/23 season. This is a rise from his starting price last season. However still feels like a reasonable price tag for a player who returned 179 points in the last campaign.
Ben White remains priced at just £4.5m and he will therefore likely be a popular pick for FPL managers, especially with Arsenals favourable run of early fixtures. Both Keiran Tierney and Aaron Ramsdale are priced at £5.0m this season.
Eddie Nketiah, like Saka has also taken a price rise and he will cost managers £7.0m this season.
Man City
Man City’s official Twitter account released their FPL prices at 12pm. FPL managers have been long debating Haaland’s price and we now know he is £11.5m.
FPL Comment: New signing Haaland has been priced at £11.5m. A number of FPL managers were expecting the forward to be at least £12m and therefore this will feel like a bargain.
Joao Cancelo has risen in price to £7.0m. The defender returned 201 points last season and therefore rightly starts the new season at a more expensive price. At £6.0m and £5.0m respectively Reuben Dias and Kyle Walker could now become more attractive to FPL managers trying to save budget.
Phil Foden and Mahrez are, like Arsenal’s Saka, priced at £8.0m.
Sterling will be priced at £10.0m, even if he gets his reported move to Chelsea.
Brentford
After their successful first season in the Premier League Brentford have revealed their FPL prices.
FPL Comment: Ivan Toney was the fifth highest scoring forward in the game last season. The Brentford forward has risen in price to £7.0m for the new season.
Goalkeeper David Raya remains £4.5m and will likely attract a lot of attention from FPL managers. This is especially true as Fantasy Football Scout’s Fixture Ticker has Brentford top over the opening 10 Gameweeks of the season.
Mbeumo has been reclassified as a forward this season and will cost FPL managers £6.0m to own.
Brighton
Brighton have released their FPL prices ahead of the new season. Goalkeeper Robert Sanchez once again enters the game at £4.5m.
FPL Comment: Brighton’s goalkeeper Robert Sanchez is once again priced at £4.5m. With the earlier release from Brentford Sanchez will likely be a popular pairing with David Raya, also £4.5m.
There is plenty of good value in the Brighton defence this season. Tariq Lamptey, and Lewis Dunk are both priced at £4.5m. Meanwhile Marc Cucurella is priced just £0.5m more at £5.0m.
Up front Neal Maupay and Danny Welbeck are both priced at £6.5m with Undav at £5.5m
Leeds
Leeds United are the fifth club to have released their player prices for the new FPL season. Forward Bamford who was out injured for most of the 2021/22 campaign is priced at £7.5m for the upcoming season.
FPL Comment: Leeds’ Bamford comes in at £0.5m more than Brentford Ivan Toney. This may put a number of FPL managers off. However, Bamford had a fantastic first season in the Premier League in 2020/21 and if he can stay injury free could be a great option again in 2022/23.
Meslier joins Raya and Sanchez as a £4.5m goalkeeper. Managers now have plenty of good options in the rotating goalkeeper category.
New signing Aaronson enters the game at £5.5m, £0.5m less than Daniel James who starts the new campaign at £6.0m. Defenders Cooper and Koch are part of the £4.5m defender club with Kristensen slightly more expensive at £5.0m.
Raphinha’s FPL price was not released with the Leeds reveal.
With these price reveals sat alongside the now-known 2022/23 fixtures, FPL managers can start planning their squads for Gameweek 1.
