FPL Experts Ahead of Gameweek 13

We take a look at some of the FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 13. With the new Gameweek approaching, we check out what some of the most elite managers have been talking about in the build up whether that be players to invest in, players to avoid and more.

Looking at what some of the FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 13 are talking about could be highly beneficial to other managers. Whether they discuss expected minutes, potential transfer targets, chip strategy or other key factors, it can all help to provide clarity within our own teams.

@FPL_Sonaldo

Fantasy Football Scout contributor Andy shared his thoughts around a key moment in Gameweek 12. Arsenal are coming into a great run of fixtures ahead. Because of this and ahead of his match against Burnley many decided to invest in centre-back Gabriel (£4.8m).

Although Gabriel has been somewhat unreliable in terms of starts at times he was in the starting 11 this week. That may be the case but Arsenal conceded to Burnley. To make things worse for Gabriel owners teammate and fellow centre-back William Saliba (£5.3m) scored during the match.

@Pras_fpl

Ther was another huge moment in Gameweek 12 and Pras covered it. Tottenham suffered a damaging loss against Chelsea last week in which they lost some key players due to injury and bans. One of those players was midfielder James Maddison (£8m) who has been instrumental to the Tottenham success so far.

Many were concerned that with Maddison injured it would have a hugely negative impact on Son Heung-min (£9.7m). Tottenham lost their match 2-1 and Son failed to not only return any significant points but look convincing without his key creator.

Son has fixtures against Aston Villa, Manchester City West Ham ahead. FPL managers could have to make a very big decision ahead of those game, especially with his hefty price-tag.

@FplMode

Andy returns this week highlighting a massive moment in FPL Gameweek 12. Crystal Palace had collected the joint most clean sheets coming into the round. Because of this and their fixtures many flocked to their defensive assets.

Everton felt like a good opportunity for Crystal Palace to bank a clean sheet but that wasn’t to be as they lost the game 3-2. This meant there was a lot of disappointed FPL managers. However, with a match against Luton next up, it could be the best chance they have at a clean sheet.

@FPLReaction

@FPLReaction touched upon the Bournemouth v Newcastle match here. There were plenty of talking points for this one. Those that owned Kieran Trippier (£7m) would have been disappointed this week as the full-back picked up just one point. His side lost the match 2-0.

For those looking for Newcastle defensive coverage or Trippier cover prior to the game both Lewis Hall (£4.3m) and Tino Livramento (£4.3m) attracted some managers. However, both proved huge rotation risks and they endured just 45 minutes of the game each.

The injuries are mounting up for the Magpies and the negative results could follow. With Chelsea and Manchester United up next, some could be considering how effective Trippier will actually be in FPL moving forward.

@FPLMarcin

Many within the community, like Marcin, felt that although Arsenal midfielder Bukayo Saka (£8.6m) suffered a small injury lately he would still start against Burnley, even with the uncertainty from the manager.

Of course Saka started the game against Burnley and created an assist to reward his owners. Saka has picked up a lot of knocks this season but bounced back and started the following match. This could make FPL managers doubt the seriousness of any Saka injuries moving forward.

Staying with Arsenal’ win over Burnley, another successful asset this week was Leandro Trossard (£6.5m) who bagged a huge 13 points for his goal and assist. To many managers frustration striker Eddie Nketiah failed to start the game but did feature. However, he still finished the game with just one point.
