Best Budget Players for Gameweek 29

FPL managers have a huge Blank Gameweek to navigate this week. To help with that we take a look at the best budget players for Gameweek 29 in FPL with the help of underlying data and the fixture ticker from Fantasy Football Scout.

Checking out the best budget players for Gameweek 29 can be hugely rewarding for FPL managers. Not only can it help long-term but finding the right ones with huge potential can contribute towards making gains in terms of rank and mini-league position.

Brentford

Brentford rank at the top of the fixture ticker this week. The Bees have been inconsistent recently, failing to win any of their last five league matches with zero clean sheets banked. Although defensively woeful they have managed to score twice in three of their last six matches which suggests they could be worth investment.

Burnley could be one of the best fixtures a team faces from an attacking perspective this season. The promoted side have shipped at least two goals in nine of their last 10 matches which has helped them to become the second worst defence in the league in terms of goals conceded.

Now, although defensively woeful, Sergio Reguilon (£4.4m) could be worth bringing in. The Spaniard has shown solid attacking potential in his last six matches – having produced an assist in three of his last six games. However, It could be worth monitoring his status due to a recent injury.

In attack some should consider in the in-form Yoane Wissa (£5.6m) who has picked up a return in all three of his last matches. His form is appealing but the fact he edges teammate Ivan Toney for non-penalty expected goal involvement in the last six Gameweeks brings even more confidence around him as an asset.

Luton

Luton are arguably the better of the promoted sides, however still sit near the bottom of the league in 18th. The Hatters are another team in a results slump – losing four of their last six league matches and conceding in all of them. But, they play at home this week which could be a huge boost for them. We also have to take into account the opposition they face.

Nottingham Forest lay ahead for Luton, another side potentially battling to escape relegation. In fact, this could be a huge match as there is just three points wedged between them. Like Luton, Forest are also struggling and have lost five of their last six matches in all competitions. Not just that but they have also conceded in all but one of them and failed to score in all of their last three on the bounce. One of the players who could benefit from this is Alfie Doughty (£4.7m) who has created more crosses and more chances than any other defender in the league in the last six matches. He has also registered an impressive eight assists this season which can only be beaten by one other defender.

Luton also have attacking potential against their upcoming opposition and it’s Carlton Morris (£5.2m) who stands out above his offensive teammates. Morris takes his sides penalties but returning in seven of his last 10 league matches should be enough to convince alone.

More Forward Gems

One of many budget striker picks with potential this week is David Datro Fofana (£5m). Brentford will be tough opposition for the promoted side but they have conceded 13 goals in their last six matches which is enough to highlight their defence as targetable. Fofana has impressed since joining on loan from Chelsea – bagging three goals and one assist in just seven matches. After securing nine points against the Hammers in his latest match, Fofana goes into Gameweek 29 with confidence.

Another forward we could look to is Rodrigo Muniz (£4.5m). Although Muniz faces tougher opposition compared to Fofana, he arguably plays for a better team and goes into the game with five goals and one assist in his last six league games under his belt.
