@FlapjackFpl
It was another successful start to the Matchday in World Cup Fantasy for fantasy football manager Flapjack. Flapjack is having a fantastic campaign so we are monitoring him to see where he ends up in terms of rank.
One of the returns Flapjack bagged was via Croatia’s Josko Gvardiol (£4m). The defender managed a cool eight points after scoring Croatia’s opening goal with a brilliant header. As we can see, Flapjack is 57th in the world rankings and is looking for ways to better that going into the final.
@DonieFPL
Another well respected fantasy manager is Donie. Donie is one of the highest ranked managers in the Twitter community as he currently sits 38th in the world. We can see below that Donie backed, like many, three defenders from the Croatia v Morocco match.
Unfortunately, Croatia and Morocco both scored early in the game, ruining all hopes of a clean sheet in a match that many fantasy managers expected one. Regardless of what happens today, Donie has had a an amazing campaign and deserves credit for that.
@FPL_Banger
Fantasy football content creator and well respected manager within the Twitter community FPL Banger Podcast highlighted one of the goals scored in the third place play-off. Ultimately it was the winning goal which makes it even more impressive.
Mislav Orsic (£5m) curled his shot from an extremely tight angle. Although the Moroccan keeper got a touch, the ball swiped off his glove, hit the post and pinged into the goal. Orsic plays for Dinamo Zagreb and scored against English side Chelsea in the Champions League this season.

Fantasy Football Scout and Fantasy Football Community contributor Louis asked the community who they were captaining in the first game of Matchday 7. Along with that, he also emphasised a key stat that midfielder Ivan Perisic (£7.5m) has maintained.
The Croatian was joint third for shots on goal ahead of the game. Perisic failed to score against Morocco but did return significant points. Although restricted to left back this time out, he still picked up five points for his assist and two key passes.
Not sure who to captain between Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe? We look into some stats to see who comes out on top in our article here.
