World Cup Fantasy best budget players for Matchday 7

Last modified date

The World Cup is currently underway, and the new round is just around the corner. In fact, the next round begins on Saturday, so for that reason, we look at the World Cup Fantasy best budget players for Matchday 7.

Cheap value assets are hard to come by in any fantasy game. Finding budget players can help enable the pricier options within our teams and so looking at the World Cup Fantasy best budget players for Matchday 7 could be very beneficial to managers.

Julian Alvarez

Argentina beat Croatia 3-0 to book their place into the final of the World Cup. Although heavily reliant on Lionel Messi they do have one more player who has been fantastic during their campaign. Julian Alvarez (£6.5m) has been that player.

Alvarez sits at a price which helps enabler funds around managers teams. The striker bagged two goals ahead of his semi final match and continued that great run against Croatia where he scored another two goals and earned the penalty which Messi converted. Alvarez finished Matchday 6 on a massive 14 points.

Enzo Fernandez

Many managers will want to invest into the Argentina attack but may not be able to fit another forward in. For that reason, it could be ideal, for those that haven’t already, to invest in midfielder Enzo Fernandez (£5m).

Fernandez comes in at another cheap price that could help when it comes to fitting in the more expensive options. The midfielder can find himself in very advanced positions and loves a long range shot. Fernandez has already picked up both an assist and a goal, so he has the potential to return.

Borna Sosa

Croatia slumped to a 3-0 loss against Argentina but the third place play-off lays ahead for the Europeans with World Cup Fantasy taking that game into account. Prior to Matchday 6, the Croatians looked very good defensively.

With that in mind, it could be worth investing in the Croatia’s defensive assets. One player who has failed to meet the standards set by fantasy managers is defender Borna Sosa (£3.5m). We are yet to see the player that has bagged five assists for club this season but could that change in Matchday 7?

Sofiane Boufal

Morocco have been a surprise package in the World Cup, showing great qualities, especially in defence. However, they do have a couple of interesting options in their attacking line and one of those assets is Sofiane Boufal (£6m).

Boufal became one of the best assets in the African Cup of Nations Fantasy game in his most recent tournament and although exciting in his current World Cup, has failed to translate his top form over. The midfielder is on penalty duty and has looked lively. At a nice price of £6m, he could be worth investment.
