UCL Fantasy Matchday 5 Best Budget Players

With the new round just around the corner we take a look at some of the UCL Fantasy Matchday 5 best budget players. Using fixtures, stats, and team and player from we reveal some of budget picks with the most potential for the round ahead.

It could be extremely difficult to get all of the players you want into your squads at times which is why finding the UCL Fantasy Matchday 5 best budget players can be absolutely essential. Budget players are great but finding cheap picks with massive potential could be even more beneficial.

Dmytro Riznyk

The major lack of options between the sticks this season with a convincing chance of clean sheets is a concern. This could indicate that spending as little on your goalkeeper as possible could be a wise move looking ahead.

Shakhtar Donetsk face off against Antwerp next who sit rock bottom of their group. The Ukrainians also kept a clean sheet against Barcelona in their most recent match so they do have the quality to keep things tight at the back. Because of that and the fact he plays in the early kick-off on Tuesday Dmytro Riznyk (€4m) could be a great cheap option.

Patric

A lot of the big pricey defender options have been disappointing this season. With that in mind and the increasing appeal of the more expensive picks in midfield we may need to take money out of our defence to fund a move. Because of that we head to Lazio.

Lazio play at home against Celtic this week. The Italian side have been keeping clean sheets at home recently – three in their last three matches. The clean sheet could be on this week for Lazio so it could be a great idea to invest in their backline. The cheapest playing player in the Lazio defence is Patric (€4m) who is playing ahead of the injured Nicolo Casale.

Quinten Timber

Feyenoord have been very impressive this season. They will have huge motivation going into their next game against Atletico as they sit third and two points off the top spot. The Dutch side are also very good at home which is where they play in Matchday 5. In fact, both of their wins have actually come at home. Feyenoord have also netted two or more goals in three of their UCL games so far.

Atletico could be tough. However, the last time these teams met the game ended 3-2. There could be plenty of goals again this time around so investing in the Feyenoord attack could be a good play. One of the cheapest ways into the frontline is Quinten Timber (€5m). Although a central midfielder Timber shows a keen appetite to advance forward. Not only has he picked up an assist in the Champions League but he’s also scored in each of his last two league matches.

Real Sociedad

Real Sociedad seemed to have made there way into all of these budget player articles. This is because they have both great enabling assets and started their Champions League campaign exceptionally well. The Spaniards sit top of their table ahead of the likes of Inter, Salzburg and Benfica.

Real Sociedad have scored more goals than any other team in their group (seven) and conceded the joint least goals (two). This suggests that both their attacking and defensive assets could be very appealing, especially with a game against Salzburg next up.

In defence Real Sociedad have brilliant options like Alex Remiro (€4.1) in goal who has managed two clean sheets in four UCL matches. Another great option could be left-back Aihen Munoz (€4.7m). As well as the two clean sheets already Munoz bagged an assist in his latest match. On top of that Munoz has racked up 23 ball recoveries in his last three games which could be a great route for him to earn extra points.

Offensively Real Sociedad have the likes of striker Takefusa Kubo (€5m). He could be entrusted more due to the injury to Mikel Oyarzabal. Kubo produced a goal and an assist for national side Japan in their latest game. Another brilliant option is Ander Barrenetxea (€4.5m). He has managed to return in both of his last Champions League matches.
