Gameweek 35 Best Free Hit Team

We take a look at the Gameweek 35 best free hit team. Using the Fantasy Football Scout members area we utilise the fixture ticker and underlying stats to build the best Free Hit. We also base the best Free hit team on team and player form.

The free hit chip in FPL allows managers, within the same budget and formational limits, to select a team for one particular Gameweek. Managers can attack any given Gameweek with the free hit whether that be to utilise a good set of fixtures, in-form teams or players or a mixture of it all.

Gameweek 35 Fixtures

Who has the best fixtures?

Chelsea and Tottenham rank at the top of the ticker this week because they have a double Gameweek.

Newcastle, Manchester United and Wolves make up the remainder of the top five teams with the best fixtures.

Who has the worst fixtures?

Nottingham Forest, Sheffield United, West Ham, Arsenal and Burnley all rank amongst the bottom five teams with the worst fixtures.

Gameweek 35 Best Free Hit Team

Using Plan FPL we can use one of its fantastic tools to plan transfers weeks in advance. Not just this, but we can also create team drafts to plan for using a chip. Take a look at the best free hit team for Gameweek 35:

Goalkeepers

Newcastle come up against the worst attacking side in the league next up, Sheffield United. This and the fact the Magpies have managed back-to-back clean sheets in the last two matches could mean potential for Martin Dubravka (£4.2m).

Jordan Pickford (£4.7m) could be a fantastic back-up for Dubravka as his side have banked the second most clean sheets in the league so far. Some may even decide they want to start Pickford ahead of Dubravka.

Defenders

Chelsea have a double Gameweek this week so buying at least one of their defensive assets makes sense. The standout defender is of course Malo Gusto (£4.2m) who has plenty of attacking threat after creating five assists already this season.

Tottenham also have a double Gameweek and although tough, it could still be worth investing in one of their defenders. The injuries to Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie are frustrating but centre-back Micky van de Ven (£4.4m) could still have potential. The Dutchman scored in one of his recent matches so could have goal threat.

Manchester City have a great fixture against a poor Nottingham Forest side this week. One exciting route into the backline could well be Josko Gvardiol (£4.8m). With two goals and one assist in his last three matches, Gvardiol seems to be in a purple patch of attacking form.

Tottenham full-back Ben Davies (£4.3m) sits first on the bench. Davies will almost certainly come in for his side due to recent key injuries. Joining him but unlikely to feature is Manchester United’ Harry Maguire (£4.2m) who scored in his recent cup semi-final.

Midfielders

The Chelsea double Gameweek makes Cole Palmer (£6.2m) even more essential this week. 20 goals already makes Palmer the joint highest scorer in the league and with penalty duty factored in, he also stands out as the best captaincy option.

Playing against the worst defence in the league this week makes a Newcastle attacking asset a crucial inclusion. In his last three league matches Anthony Gordon (£6.1m) has managed three assists and one goal.

Tottenham have a tough double ahead but they have been extremely impressive this season offensively. Taking that into account, Son Heung-Min (£9.7m) could challenge Cole Palmer for captaincy this week. Son has produced just one return in his last three matches but going without him could be damaging.

Manchester United have a home game against Burnley this week, a side who although have shown improvements recently, remain a team to target from an attacking perspective. Penalty taker Bruno Fernandes (£8.3m) could be a fantastic differential this week. He goes into the new round with six goals and two assists in his last six matches for club and country.

On the bench is Manchester United’ Alejandro Garnacho (£4.9m) who could be a great attacking option off the bench if needed.

Forwards

In the League Chelsea have scored a huge 19 goals in their last six matches so doubling up on their attack could be the only way to benefit from it this week. Nicolas Jackson (£6.8m) stands out as the next best attacking option after bagging four goals and two assists in his last 10 matches.

Newcastle play at home this week, a venue they have scored 12 goals in the last four matches at. The match against Sheffield United could be a brilliant opportunity to double up in attack and so Alexander Isak (£8m) makes his way into the side. Isak has produced at least one return in five of his last six matches so goes into the meeting in top form.

Nottingham Forest away could be a huge opportunity for Manchester City to extend their league at the top of the table but more importantly score plenty of goals. Hopefully helping with that will be penalty taker Erling Haaland (£14.2m).
