Transfers and Gossip up to August 7th

As the leagues prepare to commence around Europe and the rest of the world, many will be looking to buy, loan or sell players. We catchup with the transfers and gossip up to August 7th with the help of top tier source Fabrizio Romano and other reliable sources.

Overviewing the transfers and gossip up to August 7th can be a huge help for fantasy managers around the world. Whether it affects Fantasy Premier League, UCL Fantasy or another Fantasy game, we look at what the deal could mean for the player or team from a fantasy point of view.

Turner to Nottingham Forest

David Ornstein confirmed that Nottingham Forest have reached an agreement to sign goalkeeper Matt Turner from Arsenal. He also stated that Arsenal in are in talks to bring in Brentford’ goalkeeper David Raya which would soften the blow of losing Turner.

Matt Turner comes in at one of the cheapest playing prices in the game (£4m) so it could be a big signing for the FPL community. Nottingham Forest may have tough early fixtures but he is very likely to make his way into our fantasy teams even if its just as a bench option.

Kudus edges closer to Brighton

David Orenstein also confirmed that Brighton have reached an agreement with Ajax to buy Mohammed Kudus. He also stated that the deal could be worth around €40m and that Kudus is also close to agreeing personal terms.

Mohammed Kudus is a 23-year-old Ghanaian international and can play as a number 10, number 9, in central midfield and on the right flank. His versatility is clear and he also proved himself in the World Cup and in the Champions League.

The addition of Kudus could be a big one for the FPL community. Brighton have an array of attacking options and adding another one into the mix could cause rotation headaches.

Ramos agrees to PSG deal

Fabrizio Romano states that Benfica striker Goncalo Ramos could be on his way to PSG. He adds that there is a verbal agreement between the clubs to sign him for €80m. It will be a loan move with a buy option in 2024.

Ramos has been on the radar of some of the best clubs in Europe for some time now. The 22-year-old bagged 19 goals and registered two assists in the Portuguese league last season and also impressed in the Champions League.

UCL managers will be keen to see his price when the game launches and even more excited to see the group stage draw.

Napoli sign a new centre-back

Napoli are set to sign a new centre-back from Red Bull Bragantino in a deal worth €10m with add-ons. Both clubs are in agreement and Natan is set to be unveiled as a new signing in the coming week. Natan is seen as replacement for Kim min-Jae who left to join Bayern.

Natan is a left-footed 22-year-old centre-back who is especially strong in terms of ball control. Kim min-Jae is a huge loss for Napoli and they will be hoping their replacement can match or better the 18 clean sheets they kept last season.

Serie A Fantasy and UCL Fantasy will be especially interested in Natan so his price and form will come under scrutiny early on.

Spurs sign a new centre-back

Spurs look set to sign new centre-back Micky van de Ven from Wolfsburg. The deal has been agreed for around €50m with add-ons. The contract will be for five years and Micky van de Ven looks set to undergo medical tests.

Micky van de Ven is a Dutch 22-year-old who is considerably strong in terms of tackles and ground duels. Not only has he impressed for club but he has also shown his qualities for country in the under 21’s. His addition will very likely strengthen the Spurs backline and make them more investable in general, especially from a defensive point of view.
