Taking a look at the top 10 best midfielders in FPL so far can be extremely helpful for fantasy managers. Knowing which midfielders have been returning the most points can bring clarity to long-term planning, transfers and more.

The Top Five

  • Mohamed Salah (£12.6m) – The highest scoring midfielder in the game so far is none other than the Egyptian himself with 59 points. His points come from five goals, four assists and eight bonus. He also has a nice run of fixtures ahead with Liverpool to extend his lead.
  • Son Heung-min (£9.4m) – Tottenham sit at the top of the Premier League table currently. One of the biggest reasons for that is this man. Son has accumulated a huge 54 points so far this season due to his six goals and five bonus. He also has a very good schedule ahead of him.
  • Bukayo Saka (8.6m) – Arsenal are another side in great form and sit just behind Tottenham in the table on goal difference. Saka has collected a massive 53 points already this season with the help of four goals, three assists and eight bonus. He comes up against Chelsea and Newcastle in the next three Gameweeks.
  • Jarrod Bowen (£7.3m) – West Ham have started their season surprisingly well after their underwhelming 22/23 domestic campaign. One player who has helped towards that is Bowen who so far has picked up 50 points. His returns come from five goals, one assist and six bonus.
  • James Maddison (£8.1m) – Another Tottenham midfielder makes the list which is very reflective of their form. Maddison has been excellent since making the move over from relegated side Leicester. So far he has managed 47 points and most of that total comes from two goals, five assists and five bonus.

Who else makes the top 10?

  • Mathias Jensen (£5.4m) – The Brentford man sits joint sixth in the list and many will be surprised about how effective he has been so far as an FPL asset. So far he has banked 46 points mainly due to his three goals, two assists and eight bonus.
  • Martin Ødegaard (£8.5m) – Martin Ødegaard is yet again proving himself as an FPL asset. The Arsenal man has produced a huge 46 points meaning he sits joint sixth with Jensen. The Norwegian’ points derive from three goals, two assists and six bonus.
  • Raheem Sterling (£7m) – Chelsea have an extremely tough schedule ahead so Sterling could be an awkward asset to own moving forward. That may be but he’s still bagged 45 points so far due to three goals, three assists and six bonus.
  • Pedro Neto (£5.7m) – Wolves may not be the most ruthless team offensively but they have still managed to net in all but one of their matches so far this season. Assisting his side with that was Pedro Neto who earned 43 points after one goal, six assists and five bonus.
  • Moussa Diaby (£6.7m) – Aston Villa are another side in top scoring form. Helping teammate Ollie Watkins find the net is Diaby who so far has racked up 42 points. His returns mainly came from two goals, four assists and two bonus.
