Introduction
Five match days later, GW25 is finally finished! Thankfully there can’t be any more injuries… In this article, I’ll review the Gameweek just gone and look ahead to the weekend in Sky FF. Enjoy!
GW25 Review
I made two transfers, as planned, taking out Palmer and Cunha for Ake and Doucoure. Both transfers ended up frustrating, with Ake missing out on the clean sheet v Brentford and Doucoure missing a huge chance to score.
Aside my from two new recruits, everyone else delivered points. My faith in Ederson paid off, Groß continued to smash it and Dunk, Saliba and Watkins hauled. In midfield, Rodri continued to prove his near-essential status with a goal and two passing tiers. Even Van Dijk managed a goal as captain last night but agonisingly finished on 59 passes! I’m pretty happy with my decision to load to up on five Man City assets.
Overall, 156 points meant a rise of over 100 places to 403rd. Although, if OPTA manage to find one more Van Dijk my rank may start with a three in 24 hours time! Here’s hoping!

GW26 Preview
Despite having only eight matches, GW26 looks set to be another busy one in terms of transfers. I’ll discuss my planned moves and the two single game days shortly but quickly to cover off Saturday, I’ll be captaining Haaland. Bournemouth is a good fixture and his confidence should be high after his late winner against Brentford. If news of a rest starts to circulate, Saliba and Groß will provide solid alternatives.
As it stands I’ve got no cover for the Wolves-Sheffield Utd (Sunday) and West Ham-Brentford (Monday) single gamedays. This will change on the day, I don’t plan to skip. I think for Sheffield Utd at home, you’ve got to attack the Wolves player with upside. For me, that’s Hwang Hee-Chan although Pedro Neto is also a strong option. I’ll be moving out Abdoulaye Doucoure for the Korean midfielder.
On Monday, it’s a harder decision. Ordinarily, I think Jarrod Bowen would be the go to pick, however, West Ham have been absolutely woeful and the mood around David Moyes is becoming toxic. Because of this, Ivan Toney is currently my favoured option. He’s been in fine form since returning from suspension. However, if Lucas Paqueta is back in the team I may reconsider. I think Bowen benefits enormously from his creativity. The player I’ll be taking out is Nathan Ake.
Thanks for reading and good luck for GW26. Remember to finalise your teams and set your captains before Saturday’s slightly later deadline (15:00 GMT).
