Serie A Fantasy Round 26 Expert Team Reveal

Here we look ahead to the new round of Italian football and check out our Serie A Fantasy Round 26 expert team reveal. We bring in our regular contributor @FplRossoneri to reveal his plans around transfers and captaincy for the exciting double round ahead.

Serie A Fantasy Round 26 is upon us and it is a huge double Gameweek this week. Because of this finding out how our expert manager is going to navigate the round ahead could be massively enlightening and could also help us with our own decisions.

Introduction

Welcome back! As mentioned I will pen down my thoughts about the team, my transfers if any, and my captain for the upcoming GW.

Now, back to the article, looking at GW25 first, I hit 61 (-5) points with a GW average of 57 points. It was a small red arrow that took me from 190th to 251st worldwide and still 2nd in Germany after GW25.

We now prepare for the biggest Double GW of the season with teams like Inter, Napoli, Atalanta, Torino, Lazio, and Sassuolo all having two fixtures each.

Round 26 Team Reveal (subject to change)

Goalkeeper

Yann Sommer (€5.8M) is back in goal after getting nine points in Inter’ 4-0 win over Salernitana in GW25. Sommer currently sits atop the list of GKs with the most points after GW25 with 10 double-digit hauls to boast in just 25 GWs. Inter have two great fixtures on paper as they will play Lecce and Atalanta in Sommer is by far the best GK to have this week. He is still only owned by 26.4% of managers.

Defenders

Danilo (€6.6M) has averaged almost 8.4 points per GW after his return from a long-term injury in GW15. Juventus failed to keep a clean sheet last week, drawing 2-2 away at Verona. Juventus play Frosinone at home this week and would really want to shut up shop and win no matter what if they want to pursue Inter in the Scudetto race.

Note: Danilo was injured in the last GW thus I will wait for some injury update before taking a decision closer to the deadline.

Gleison Bremer (€6m) is my second defender in GW26. He is back from suspension in GW25 to boost the Juventus defensive line. Bremer currently sits at the top of the defenders list with the most points for defenders. Juventus still have some amazing fixtures coming up and Bremer could bring in a lot of points during this period.

Stefan Posch (€4.8M) is third defender. He was one of my transfer-ins last week given he had a double GW and he didn’t disappoint getting 20 points. Posch showed some of his form from last season grabbing an assist and keeping two CS’ in DGW24. Bologna play Verona at home in DGW26. There I expect Posch to get some good points based on how good Bologna are especially at home.

Last but not least is Giovanni Di Lorenzo (€7m). Both Di Lorenzo and Napoli have dropped off a cliff in terms of performance. Napoli have only managed to keep six clean sheets in 25 games. It is a bit annoying that he got his fifth yellow card right before the DGW misses one of the fixtures but I will still start him and hope for the best. Di Lorenzo last season was a revelation at RB with goals and assists helping Napoli to the Scudetto. Napoli will play Sassuolo away in one of the fixtures in DGW26.

Midfielders

Albert Gudmundsson (€6m) continues to be one of the league’s revelations this year with nine goals and two assists in just 25 games for Genoa. He has transitioned from a CAM/LW to an ST role this year and he has embraced the role. He sits second now in the most points list for midfielders in Serie A Fantasy and at just 6M, he is an absolute bargain. Genoa will be playing Udinese at home and the hope would be Gudmundsson and company get something out of the game.

I transferred in Charles De Ketelaere (€6m) as part of a late transfer in GW25 because of the form that he has been in recently. CDK has amassed four goals and two assists in his last five games and now also has a DGW even though it will be against both the Milan clubs away from home. I am hoping to get at least one return out of him in the two games, especially against Milan. I feel he will have extra motivation to perform well against his parent club and prove a point. Atalanta are in a rich vein of form and with Lookman also coming back from Afcon, they will have a full-strength side for DGW26.

Felipe Anderson (€9.0M) is my first transfer in this week. He also has two fixtures this GW against Torino and Fiorentina, both away from home. Anderson has scored the most points for Lazio this season in fantasy terms getting 142 points so far. He has three goals and six assists this season and looks like one of Lazio’s main sources of creativity in the attacking front.

Forwards

Oliver Giroud (€9.0M) is my first playing forward for GW26. He has been great for me since I transferred him in GW17. Giroud now has 12 goals and eight assists in 23 starts for Milan sharing the talisman duties with Leao. He will want to get on the score sheet yet again in GW26 when Milan faces Atalanta at home. He was rested in the recent Monza game. Also given that Jovic got red carded in that same game, Giroud’s xMins should be fairly secure.

Lautaro Martinez (€11.6M) continues to be a level above everyone else at the moment in Serie A given he has 20 goals and two assists in just 25 games for Inter. As expected Lautaro was back to his scoring form in GW25 when Inter beat Salernitana 4-0 at home. Lautaro is arguably the best captaincy option in DGW26 as Inter will play Atalanta and Lecce.

Last but by no means least is Victor Osimhen (€12.4M) who is my second transfer in this week. I like both the fixtures of against Cagliari and Sassuolo respectively and both are known to ship goals for fun. Osimhen can also be a viable captaincy option if you do not fancy Lautaro. In just 13 starts this season Osimhen has seven goals and two assists and could be a great option for DGW26.

Captaincy

At the time of writing this article captaincy is currently on Lautaro Martinez for reasons I have mentioned above. However, Victor Osimhen is also in the running for captaincy as things stand.

As usual, I will try to reveal my final team on X before the deadline. Be sure to follow me on there @FPLRossoneriNick. Also follow Fantasy Football Community for all of the latest updates in Serie A Fantasy.

That’s it for my GW26 Team reveal. I will see you in GW27. Best of luck with the Double game week and may all your arrows be green.
