Serie A Fantasy top picks for Round 8

Italian League football continues and with that so does the fantasy football game. With that in mind we take a look at the Serie A Fantasy top picks for Round 8 with the help of our expert and regular contributor @FPL_Crisk.

The Twitter community is full of some of the best fantasy managers in the world so catching up with our experts Serie A Fantasy top picks for Round 8 could be crucial. Knowing which players have the most potential could help confirm decisions in our own teams as we head towards the deadline.

Goalkeepers – Lorenzo Montipò (€4.6m – 13.4%)

Despite Verona’s slow start to the season, the goalkeeper has been an excellent as a fantasy asset, ranking third between from all other goalies. A trip away to Frosinone is far from the worst fixture for him, so this is a pretty good chance to start him if you tend to have rotating GKs.

Michele Di Gregorio (€4.8m – 5.3%)

Monza are on a good defensive run, with two consecutive clean sheets in the last two games. Overall, Di Gregorio has performed really well with some excellent saves while Salernitana are really struggling to find the net lately, scoring only one goal in the last five fixtures.

Defenders – Danilo (€6.4m – 23.8%)

Just like last year, despite only one attacking return and multiple yellow cards, Danilo somehow remains between the best players in the game. The “Derby della Mole” against Torino is usually a very tight game in terms of goals, and the kind of game I can see the Brazilian haul in.

Fikayo Tomori (€5.8m – 10.3%)

He has been more reliable in Milan’s backline than usual star pick Theo Hernandez. Genoa are in good form but their striker Retegui is currently a doubt for the weekend, and if he misses the game Genoa’s fire-power will be way easier to contain.

Midfielders – Paulo Dybala (€11.4m – 10.3%)

His ownership is surprisingly low given his record last season. He’s yet to find the net from open play, but he should take penalties and in his last game he managed two assists. Cagliari are conceding a lot of goals too, so a haul could actually be in the air.

Rafael Leao (€11.2m – 61.5%)

Speaking of players who got two assists during the weekend, Leao is the most menacing players in Milan’s attack, and has showed consistent improvement each season (and he was already top class last year). Genoa managed to concede twice to an Udinese team who had only seen the net twice in the whole campaign before last Saturday.

Forwards – Andrea Pinamonti (€6.4m – 10.6%)

I feel like Pinamonti is going a bit under the radar, and I get it, Berardi is by far the best pick out of Sassuolo’s attack. However, the forward is significantly cheaper, and besides, with their defence being bad a double up Berardi-Pinamonti is definitely viable.

Lautaro Martinez (€11.2m – 50.9%)

The colour of your last arrow most likely depends on whether you had/captained this man right here. Right now he’s on another level, with him being 15 points above any other asset in the game. He is a must have.
