The new round is now over so we take a look back at each and every game in UCL Fantasy Matchday 2. In this article we cover the most significant player returns from the first round matches, whether that be the players who scored, assisted, picked up player of the match awards and more.

Salzburg v Real Sociedad

  • Many thought it would be a tough game between the sides but the away team picked up a comfortable 2-0 win.
  • Midfielder Brais Mendez (€6.6m) was the biggest success. He picked up his second double-digit return on and the bounce. His 14 points came from a goal, an assist and the player of the match award.
  • Defender Hamari Traore (€4.5m) managed get the second highest return with nine points. He collected a clean sheet and produced 10 ball recoveries.

Union Berlin v Braga

  • Its was a fascinating game between the clubs. The home side dominated for some time but Braga struck late to win the game 3-2.
  • The biggest return came from Braga forward Bruma (€7.5m). He scored a goal from outside the box, created an assist and won the player of the match award to hit 13 points.
  • The second double-digit haul of the meeting came from Union Berlin striker Seraldo Becker (€7.5m). He managed 11 points due to scoring twice.
  • Braga defender Sikou Niakate (€4.5m) hit eight points for scoring.

Copenhagen v Bayern

  • Bayern struggled to break the home side down for a lot of the game. Copenhagen scored first but the German giants hit back with two goals to win 2-1.
  • No player managed to pick up a haul in the game but the biggest return came from Copenhagen midfielder Lukas Lerager (€5.5m). He nabbed eight points for his goal and seven ball recoveries.
  • Another player who bagged a return was Bayern midfielder Jamal Musiala (€8.5m) who hit six points for his goal.
  • Popular assets striker Harry Kane (€10m) and midfielder Leroy Sane (€9.1m) both failed to return.

Lens v Arsenal

  • Arsenal started the game well scoring first but Lens piled on the pressure towards the end of the game with a 2-1 win.
  • The only double-digit return of the game came from Lens striker Sepe Elye Wahi (€6.5m). He scored, created an assist and bagged the player of the match award.
  • Another big return came from Lens midfielder Adrien Thomasson (€6m) hitting nine points due to his goal and six ball recoveries.
  • Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus (€8.5m) hit six points for his goal.
  • Arsenal midfielder Bukayo Saka (€9.5m) picked up four points for his assist but came off injured in the first half.

PSV v Sevilla

  • We saw a thrilling 2-2 draw between the sides this week.
  • The only player to hit double digits in the game was Sevilla midfielder Nemanja Gudelj (€5.5m) who scored and racked up 10 ball recoveries.
  • PSV defender Jordan Teze (€5m) collected eight points due to his goal and three ball recoveries.
  • PSV striker Noa Lang (€7m) failed to hit a goal contribution but hit five points with the help of the player of the match award.
  • Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri (€8.5m) returned six points after scoring.

Napoli v Real Madrid

  • The key defensive injuries for Napoli and return of their star player for Real Madrid was telling as the the Spanish side claimed a 3-2 victory in this seismic clash.
  • The only asset in the match to bag a double-digit score was Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham (€7.6m). The Englishman scored, created an assist and won the player of the match award to return 14 points.
  • Two Napoli players hit seven points for their goals and they were defender Leo Ostigard (€4.5m) and midfielder Piotr Zielinski (€7.5m).
  • Real Madrid forward Vinicus Junior (€11m) returned from fitness to score and finish on six points.
  • Popular assets like Napoli striker Victor Osimhen (€10m) and defender Giovanni Di Lorenzo (€5.5m) both blanked.

Inter v Benfica

  • It was a tight affair between the clubs but Inter came out on top with a goal towards the latter stages of the game.
  • Defender Denzel Dumfries (€5.5m) hit the biggest return of the match with nine points for his assist and goal.
  • Centre-back Alessandro Bastoni (€5.5m) picked up eight points after securing the clean sheet and hitting nine ball recoveries.
  • Midfielder Marcus Thuram (€6.5m) scored the only goal of the game to bag eight points.
  • Another player to hit a return was striker Lautaro Martinez (€9m) claiming four points for the player of the match award.

Manchester United v Galatasaray

  • The English side took the lead but the Turkish champions won the game 3-2.
  • Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund (€7m) collected the biggest return. He took away 13 points after scoring twice and winning the player of the match award.
  • Another big return came from Galatasaray defender Davinson Sanchez (€4.5m). He bagged 10 points due to his two assists and 11 ball recoveries.
  • Galatasaray midfielder Kerem Akturkoglu (€6m) finished the match with seven points after his goal.

Atletico v Feyenoord

  • This was another early game that finished 3-2. The Spanish side won at home but it wasn’t easy by any means.
  • The biggest haul managed was by Atletico striker Alvaro Morata (€7.5m) who converted twice and claimed the player of the match award.
  • Feyenoord defender David Hancko (€4.6m) hit the second biggest return with eight points for his goal and five ball recoveries.
  • Atletico striker Antoine Griezemann (€10.5m) scored to bank six points
  • Several players hit five points. Those players included Feyenoord striker Ayase Ueda (€6.5m) who created an assist, Atletico defender Nahuel Molina (€6m) who also created an assist and Feyenoord midfielder Ramiz Zerrouki (€5m) who produced 10 ball recoveries.

Antwerp v Shakhtar Donetsk

  • The other early game on Wednesday ended 3-2 but to the away side.
  • Two players managed double-digit returns in the game. One of those players was Shakhtar Donetsk forward Danylo Sikan (€5m). He collected 13 points with the help of two goals and the player of the match award.
  • The other player to hit double figures was Antwerp midfielder Arthur Vermeeren (€5.5m) who hit 10 points for his two assists and eight ball recoveries.
  • Two players also returned nine points and they were Antwerp forward Michel-Ange Balikwisha (€6.5m) who scored from outside the box and Shakhtar Donetsk defender Yaroslav Rakitkyi (€4.5m) who also scored from outside the box and produced eight ball recoveries.

Celtic v Lazio

  • The home side took the lead but Lazio claimed a 2-1 victory.
  • No player managed double-digits in the game but Lazio midfielder Matias Vecino (€5.5m) who won the player of the match award and goal to finish on nine points.
  • Two players hit six points and they were Lazio midfielder Pedro (€6.5m) who scored and Celtic midfielder Mathew O’Riley (€6.5m) who registered an assist.
  • Lazio centre-back Alessio Romagnoli (€4.5m) struck five points for his assist.

Dortmund v Milan

  • It was another big clash between two giants but both failed to convert and the game ended 0-0.
  • The highest scoring players in the game were of course defenders. Those assets included Milan defender Davide Calabria (€6m) who piked up 10 ball recoveries and the clean sheet to hit nine points.
  • Milan centre-back Fikayo Tomori (€5.5m) who bagged nine points for the clean sheet and nine ball recoveries.
  • One player who managed to return who isn’t a defender was Rafael Leao (€9.5m) who hit five points to claim his second player of the match award in a row.

Newcastle v PSG

  • The English side completely dismantled PSG in a shocking 4-1 win.
  • The most successful asset in the game was Fabian Schar (€4.5m). The centre-back scored and recovered eight balls to claim an 11-point return.
  • The other player to hit double figures was Newcastle midfielder Miguel Almiron (€7m) who scored and won the player of the match award.
  • Two players picked up eight-point returns. One of them was midfielder Sean Longstaff (€5.5m) who scored and made five ball recoveries and centre-back Dan Burn (€4.6m) who scored.

Crvena Zvezda v Young Boys

  • The goal fests in Matchday 2 continued here as the game ended in a thrilling 2-2 draw.
  • Crvena Zvezda midfielder Osman Bukari (€6.1m) collected a huge 13 points due to his goal, assist, three ball recoveries and payer of the match award.
  • Young Boys midfielder Filip Ugrinic (€6m) banked the second highest return of the game with eight points because of his goal and three ball recoveries.
  • Young Boys striker Cedric Itten (€7m) hit six points due to his goal.

Leipzig v Manchester City

  • Leipzig proved tough for the current holders to break down and they even scored but it wasn’t enough in the end after they lost the match 3-1.
  • Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden (€8m) bagged the biggest return (10 points) after scoring and claiming the player of the match award.
  • Another big return came from Manchester City midfielder Jeremy Doku (€7m) who came on late to score and create an assist.
  • Manchester City striker Julian Alvarez (€7.1m) also came on late to secure eight points because of his one assist and one goal.

Porto v Barcelona

  • The game was one of few with little goals as Barcelona stole a 1-0 win away from home.
  • No player managed a double-digit return this week but Barcelona midfielder Ilkay Gundogan (€8m) hit the biggest return with nine points for his assist and player of the match award.
  • Another player who had some success was Barcelona defender Joao Cancelo (€6m). He hit eight points after keeping a clean sheet and managing nine ball recoveries.
