Serie A Fantasy Round 31 Top Picks

After some interesting twists and turns in the latest round we look ahead. There are some great fixtures to attack this week so we bring in our regular contributor @FPL_Crisk to reel off his Serie A Fantasy Round 31 Top Picks.

@FPL_Crisk has become one of the most respected and seasoned managers in the world. Because of this checking out his Serie A Fantasy Round 31 Top Picks could be extremely beneficial, not just for the round fixtures ahead but also for long-term planning.

Lukasz Skorupski (€5.0m – 17.0%)

It didn’t work last week, as Thiago Motta allowed himself to rotate goalkeepers, but there is no reason to think the Polish goalie is losing his place. At this point in the season, he is one of the best options given his price.

Vanja Milinkovic-Savic (€5.8m – 17.9%)

With Torino’s defence now almost rid of injuries (Schuurs is not coming back), Vanja has closed the gap with Sommer in terms of points. Torino have conceded just once in the last four games, while their opponents Empoli have lost a little bit of steam after the new manager bounce and haven’t scored in the same time-period.

Berat Djimsiti (€5.2m – 16.6%)

He started the season as a backup to Toloi, but ended up becoming the most consistent Atalanta defender, even more nailed than Scalvini. Atalanta’s fixtures are about to turn for the best, starting against a Cagliari still at risk of relegation.

Alessandro Buongiorno (€6.0m – 25.2%)

I will die on his hill: he has been probably my favourite player to own this season, and the fact he missed about 20% of the games due to injury while still remaining between the best defenders in the game is a testament to that. He is worth every penny.

Albert Gudmundsson (€8.6m – 35.0%)

I was extremely undecided on whether to keep Gudmundsson on this list, after all, Genoa have very little to play for (the relegation battle has been left behind for a long time). But with Atalanta and Milan at risk of rotation due to the Europa League round, I tend to prefer the nailed and in-form Genoa talisman to the likes of Leao and Koopmeiners.

Hakan Calhanoglu (€8.6m – 14.3%)

I doubt Inter will keep rotating with only the Serie A point record left to fight for this season. It’s been a while since the Turkish midfielder has returned, but with set pieces always in his arsenal a haul can always be around the corner. This is especially against Udinese (who were dispatched 4-0 in the reverse fixture).

Lautaro Martinez (€11.8m – 72.7%)

He hasn’t scored since facing Atalanta in double Round 26, but he’s too valuable to miss out on. It’s not like other strikers are worth the risk: Lautaro remains a season keeper.

Andrea Pinamonti (6.2m – 21.8%)

The fixture against Salernitana is a now-or-never match for Sassuolo, still second to last and in desperate need for points in order to avoid their first ever relegation from Serie A. Pinamonti being on penalties could be the deciding factor for the black&green team.
