Serie A Fantasy Expert Team Reveal for Round 13

Round 12 saw victories for Juventus, Inter, Fiorentina and Empoli against Napoli. Get ready for the new fixtures as we take a look at a Serie A Fantasy expert team reveal for Round 13 provided by regular @FplRossoneri. He also shares his general thoughts around captaincy.

Checking out a Serie A Fantasy expert team reveal for Round 13 can be extremely beneficial for other fantasy managers. Twitter is full of some of the most experienced fantasy managers around so catching up with their plans could help bring clarity within our own teams.

Introduction

Welcome back after a long International break to my GW13 Team reveal for Serie A Fantasy. Here I pen down my thoughts about the team, my transfers if any, and my captain for each upcoming GW.

Looking at GW12 first, I got 57 points with a GW average being 57 points. It was a small green arrow for me going to 461st from 755th in the world.

The star of the GW for me was Andrea Colpani who scored 11 points who really is having a wonderful season at Monza. There are some good fixtures to target in GW13 for the likes of Sassuolo and Roma.

Round 13 Team Reveal (subject to change)

Goalkeeper

  • Lorenzo Montipo (€4.6m) – This GW I will be playing Montipo as I think between him at Turati Verona have the better fixture for a potential clean sheet. Montipo himself has racked up saves and is tied second with Turati for most saves from open play with 42 each. Verona will play Leece at home and I do expect a decent showing form the Verona GK.

Defenders

  • Luca Caldirola (€4.8m) – Caldirola is the mainstay in defence for Monza this season. He now has 64 points in just the last 7 GWs, helping Monza keep three clean sheets. Monza will play Cagliari away in GW13 and given how both teams play from a defensive perspective, I do expect Caldirola to get a decent points haul again for me.
  • Giovanni Di Lorenzo (€7.2m) – Giovanni Di Lorenzo has gone off the boil a bit in the recent games for Napoli but has still scored 51 points in his last eight games. Given he is the most expensive defender in the game I expect a lot more. Di Lorenzo now has Atalanta in the next GW which could provide some good points from an attacking perspective.
  • Theo Hernandez (€6.8m) – My third defender for GW13 will be Theo Hernandez from AC Milan. Milan drew 2-2 away to Lecce which was pretty disappointing as they were leading 2-0 but I do think with Bennacer soon to be back, Milan will string a set of good wins together soon. Theo provided another assist against Lecce in GW12 and he looks set to go on one of those streaks for Milan. Theo and Milan play Fiorentina and I hope he can bring in some good points.
  • Diego Llorente (€4.6m) – Llorente has been missed badly in defence for Roma and this showed as they instantly kept a clean sheet in GW12 against Lazio where Llorente put in a good shift to get nine points in the end. Unfortunately, I had him on the bench for GW12 but he will start for me in GW13 and is my fourth defender playing Udinese at home.

Midfielders

  • Domenico Berardi (€10.4m) – Berardi will again be one of my midfield players for GW13 when Sassuolo battles it out against Empoli. He is also a good captain shout as popular captaincy options like Lautaro have a difficult game in GW13. Berardi has now not scored in his last four games but I do expect him to get going again in GW13, especially with the game against Empoli coming up.
  • Andrea Colpani (€5.0m) – My cheap enabler is Colpani and he showed again why he is one of the best budget enablers in Serie A Fantasy this season. At just a 5m price-tag he already has six goals and one assist in 12 starts in a good Monza team and I expect him to keep going with his form in the coming GW against Cagliari at home. Colpani has scored all of his six goals at home but given his current form I still expect him to do well again this week even away from home. Colpani also stands alone at the top of the most points scored by a midfielder this season with 89 points.
  • Morten Frendrup (€4.4m) – My second cheap enabler is Frendrup who is quietly going about his business at least from a fantasy perspective. He has racked up 71 TBIs in just 12 games which is the highest in the league by 18 TBIs and gives owners the assurance that no matter what he can always get anywhere between 5-7 points every GW. He will be up against Frosinone in GW13 and I expect a load of TBI points again at the very least.

Forwards

  • Romelu Lukaku (€9.2m) – Lukaku now has six goals in nine starts for Roma and has taken the role of talisman for the side from Paulo Dybala. Even though Lukaku missed a penalty in GW11 and didn’t score in GW12, I still think given that he is showing great form it only bodes well for owners like me. Roma will play Udinese in GW13 and Lukaku will look to make his mark again, he is also a great captain option in GW13.
  • Lautaro Martinez (€11.2m) – Martinez looks a level above everyone else at the moment in Serie A given he has 12 goals and one assist in just 12 games for Inter. Lautaro did not score again in GW12 to make it two blanks in three GWs but he is not going anywhere. Lautaro plays Juventus in GW13 which I expect to be a close game.
  • Gianluca Scamacca (€7.2m) – GW10 star Scamacca has been hit-and-miss this season scoring braces in two games and blanking in all other matches except the last one vs Inter and that was the case in GW12 where he was subbed off for just two points. I feel like he is still finding his feet at his new club Atalanta and if his performance vs Empoli and Inter are anything to go by he is going to be a great fantasy option. Atalanta will play Napoli in GW13 and Scamacca again has good potential to do well in this upcoming GW.

Captaincy

At the moment of writing this article it is currently on Domenico Berardi for reasons I have mentioned above, Romelu Lukaku is also in the running for captaincy as things stand.

As per usual, I will try and let everyone know on Twitter before the deadline so make sure you are following me on there @FPLRossoneriNick

That’s it for my GW13 team reveal. See you in GW14. Until then best of luck for GW13 in Serie A Fantasy, may all your arrows be green.
