Planning for Gameweek 30 and 31

Here we do some FPL planning for Gameweek 30 and 31. Accessing the Fantasy Football Scout Members Area we utilise the fixture ticker and underlying statistics to find the best teams to target, best players to buy and the best chips to use for the period ahead.

Planning for Gameweek 30 and 31 could be absolutely crucial. Knowing how to attack the period ahead could be hugely important towards gaining rank. What we focus on here can help with transfers, captaincy and chip plans.

Gameweek 30 and 31 Fixtures

Who has the best fixtures?

Nottingham Forest, Fulham, Liverpool, Bournemouth and Chelsea all rank in the top five teams with the best fixtures.

Who has the worst fixtures?

Luton, Manchester City, Brighton, Aston Villa and West Ham all rank in the bottom five teams with the worst fixtures.

Best Teams and Players to Invest in

Liverpool appear back on the menu as they face both Brighton and Sheffield United up next. The Reds will be hoping to bank six points in the period ahead as they contend for the title.

Defensively, with Trent Alexander-Arnold returning from injury soon it could be worth avoiding both him and Conor Bradley at left-back. The most reliable option at the back in terms of minutes could be centre-back Virgil Van Dijk (£6.5m).

A lot of the best Liverpool options sit in attack. Mohamed Salah (£13.1m) has returned from injury recently – scoring a goal and creating three assists in his three features since. The Egyptian will likely be top of managers shortlists but striker Darwin Nunez (£7.5m) will also draw some attention. Nunez has picked up a return in each of the last four matches he started.

Meanwhile, we can also see that teams like Bournemouth and Fulham have lovely fixtures ahead. Whilst they don’t have an abundance of options, both offer up great striker potential. Bournemouth’ Dominic Solanke (£7.2m) continues to have his best ever season in terms of output and Fulham Rodrigo Muniz (£4.6m) comes in at a great price and has managed five goals and one assist in his last six matches.

Chelsea are another side with a promising schedule. The Blues face fixtures against Burnley and Manchester United which could mean potential for assets on both ends of the pitch.

For those looking at the Chelsea defence, goalkeeper Dorde Petrovic (£4.5m) comes in at a great budget price. Managers wanting a little more excitement with attacking threat could opt for right-back Malo Gusto (£4.2m) who comes in even cheaper and registered two assists in his last four matches.

The standout attacking Chelsea option is of course Cole Palmer (£5.7m) who takes penalties. Palmer has been excellent this season which is reflected in his numbers (11 goals and eight assists so far). Striker Nicolas Jackson (£6.8m) could also be a good option. Jackson has picked up a return in each of his last three matches on the bounce.

Other teams and players with potential

Tottenham of course remain one of the best teams to invest in for the period ahead. Many within the community have held onto their assets during the recent Blank Gameweek in which they played in. For those that are without Tottenham players then they could become a priority with fixtures against Luton and West Ham ahead.

Pedro Porro (£5.8m) remains the standout option at the back. No defender has had more attempts on goal this season than Porro which adds to his overall appeal. Those looking for a cheaper option could select fellow full-back Destiny Udogie (£5m).

In attack Tottenham appear to have two solid options in terms of gametime and output. Son Heung-Min (£10.1m) remains the pick of the bunch. His recent 17-point hauls reflects how explosive he can be in FPL. Completing the attacking duo is James Maddison (£8m). He returned in four of his last six matches and also takes some set pieces.

Should we use a chip?

When it comes to FPL planning for Gameweek 30 and 31 we should cover the use of chips.

The most experienced FPL managers tend to use their chips in Blank and Double Gameweeks. However, managers could consider using the Wildcard. Using the Wildcard in this period could be hugely beneficial, not just because of the noticeable fixtures swings but also to prepare for the upcoming double in Gameweek 34.
