Gameweek 15 Best Wildcard Team

We look at the Gameweek 15 best wildcard team. Using the Fantasy Football Scout season ticker we can see which teams have the best run of fixtures. This can then aid FPL managers in picking out some of the best assets for the run ahead.

The wildcard gives managers the opportunity to change their entire team for any reason. Managers activate their wildcards for several reasons. Whether that be to target fixture swings or just change their team up, the wildcard can be precious to your planning.

Fixture ticker

Below we can see that the fixtures ticker covers the next six Gameweeks (from Gameweek 15-20).

Who has the best fixtures?

Wolves, Chelsea, Tottenham, Newcastle and Fulham all rank in the top five teams with the easiest fixtures.

Who has the worst fixtures?

Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, Sheffield United, Luton and Everton all rank in the bottom five teams with the toughest fixtures.

Gameweek 15 Best Wildcard team

Goalkeepers

The Newcastle fixtures are too good to ignore as they sit joint best for clean sheets. The long-term injury to Nick Pope means Martin Dubravka (£3.9m) will step up and at that price he is an easy inclusion. Backing Dubravka up with Chelsea’ David Sanchez (£4.6m) could be a great move. Some could even choose to rotate the goalkeepers around the fixtures.

Defenders

Doubling up on the Newcastle defence could prove massively beneficial for the run ahead. Kieran Trippier (£7m) stands out as the best option, even at his price. Trippier ranks above every other defender for assists, chances created and big chances created.

Liverpool also have solid fixtures ahead, especially in the next two matches. One of the cheapest ways into the defence is left-back Kostas Tsimikas (£4.8m). The Greek international has great attacking threat and we can see that in the fact he managed three returns in his last five matches.

Another defence worth investing in is Arsenal. They sit joint best with Newcastle for clean sheets kept but they are also maintaining some of the best underlying data in the division. One of the cheapest routes into the backline is centre-back Gabriel (£4.9m).

Burnley have a mixed bag of fixtures but they also have a great fixture in Blank Gameweek 18. Due to that and his enabling price-tag Charlie Taylor (£4m) could be a great option. Taylor could be a solid first sub this week and also has threat as he picked up an assist in his last match.

Chelsea sit second on the ticker for the period ahead. The Blues also in rank the best five teams for expected goals conceded this season. With that and his price-tag Levi Colwill (£4.5m) could be a great addition. The fixtures are lovely and he also scored in his last match showing he has some goal threat.

Midfielders

Investing in the Newcastle attack looks like a must with the fixtures ahead. Anthony Gordon (£6m) has been fantastic this season and has already racked up four double-digit hauls reflecting huge explosiveness in FPL.

Mohamed Salah (£13.1m) is an absolute must moving forward. The Egyptian has been relentless so far and sits as the highest scoring player in the game because of it. Salah could also be a very good captaincy option when looking at the fixtures ahead.

Other than the Blank Gameweek in 18 where they do not play Brentford and Bryan Mbeumo (£7.1m) face some of the worst defences in the league. Because of that, his penalties and his brilliant underlying expected goal involvement Mbeumo is a very easy inclusion.

Chelsea’ fixtures and the fact they sit in the top three for expected goals this season mean they are well worth attacking investment. Palmer ranks as Chelsea’ second best player in the last six matches for non-penalty expected goal involvement but he also takes penalties.

Arsenal face-off with some of the worst defensive teams in the division ahead. Their most influential player is Bukayo Saka (£8.9m). Saka takes penalties but he is also one of the most consistent players in FPL this season – blanking in just two of his matches.

Forwards

Manchester City remain a must moving forward but one player particularly is essential. Erling Haaland (£14m) remains one of the most explosive and consistent player in the game. The Norwegian is also a very good captaincy pick for the matches ahead.

The Liverpool attack is good enough to double up on. With Salah’ ownership so high many are not benefitting from Liverpool actually scoring goals. One way to avoid that is by including Darwin Nunez (£7.7m) who has managed to return at least once in his last seven matches.

Enabling the squad is Sheffield United striker Cameron Archer (£4.6m). He leads his sides offensive line and can be called upon when needed.
