GAFFR top picks for Gameweek 33

We go through the GAFFR top picks for Gameweek 33 using stats, form and fixture ahead. After a busy Gameweek in Gameweek 32, we look ahead to the new round. Gameweek 33 starts on the 17th of February. This means managers have a short time to get their teams ready.

Going through the GAFFR top picks for Gameweek 33 can be hugely beneficial. As fantasy managers, we are always looking for players who could do really well in the next round. For that reason, picking out some of the best assets for the Gameweek ahead can be crucial when chasing down the competition.

Norwich

Norwich may have had their inconsistencies this season but they should be a priority target in Gameweek 33. They face a double Gameweek in the round ahead with fixtures against Wigan and Birmingham so their assets have become increasingly appealing.

Wigan have been struggling this season. At the time of writing they sit 22nd in the Championship. In their last 10 matches in all competitions they have lost six, drawn three and won one whilst also conceding two or more goals in the same period and keeping just one clean sheet.

Birmingham’s overall form is a little better than Wigan’s. However, in their last 10 matches they have lost six, won three and drawn one. Keeping just one clean sheet in the same period whilst also conceding two or more goals in six of the same matches, they look like a team to target.

Some could back main man and penalty taker Pukki (£11.6m) The striker has picked up four goals and three assists in his last 10 starts. Midfielder Dowell (£7.5m) could also be considered. He has managed an impressive four goals and one assist in his last five matches. Defender Aarons (£6.6m) should also be in many minds in the lead up to the new round.

Burnley

Burnley have been relentless this season and sit comfortably at the top of the pile in the Championship. In their last 10 matches they have won eight and drawn two, remaining unbeaten in the same period. Not only that but they have also kept five clean sheets and notched up two or more goals in six of those same matches.

Luton and Millwall lay ahead for Burnley. Both sides are in fairly strong form sitting fourth and seventh in the league. However, Burnley’s strong performances against top sides this season already indicates regardless of their opponents, they are a team to invest in.

Many should be looking at defender Maatsen (£6.3m) who has already bagged four goals, five assists and six clean sheets this campaign. Nathan Tella (£7.4m) is also in top form. He has picked up six goals and an assist in his last 10 matches. Fellow midfielder Zaroury (£7.1m) is also amongst the top picks for Gameweek 33. He has hit four goals and an assist in his last 10 games.

More options

  • Swansea also have a double Gameweek, facing Blackburn and Stoke. Both teams have been inconsistent this season, especially Stoke. For that reason striker Piroe (£8.8m) could be a good option. He has collected seven goals and one assist in his last 10 matches.
  • Blackburn’s double Gameweek consists of Swansea and Blackpool, both are conceding a considerable amount of goals lately, because of that midfielder Dack (£6.5m) could be a good option. He has been in good form hitting four goals and one assist in the last 10 matches.
  • Sunderland face two matches in Gameweek 33 against Bristol City and Rotherham. Although inconsistent they have not failed to score in any of their last 10 matches. For that reason it could be worth looking into their attack with the likes of midfielder Diallo (£6.3m) or new signing and striker Gelhardt (£6.5m).
