FPL: Top 10 Most Popular Picks for Gameweek 15

The new round is approaching and many within the community have started making early changes to their teams. Because of this we check out the highest owned players in the game and pick out the top 10 most popular picks for Gameweek 15 with the help of the Fantasy Premier League website.

Player ownership has become a massive part of Fantasy Premier League so knowing the top 10 most popular picks for Gameweek 15 can help when it comes to making hard decisions regarding the use of transfers, captaincy and more.

The Top Five

  • Erling Haaland (83.8%) – The Manchester City striker remains the highest owned player in the game. Haaland faces Aston Villa next up, a team who have failed to secure a clean sheet in any of their last seven matches.
  • Bukayo Saka (56%) – Saka sits second ahead of the new round with a meeting with Luton next up. The Hatters have failed to claim a single clean sheet season. Saka has collected 11 returns in 13 matches so far making him one of the most consistent players in the game.
  • Mohamed Salah (49.6%) – The Liverpool midfielder sits as the highest scoring player in the game but ranks third on the list. The Egyptian faces the worst defence in the league this week (Sheffield United) so could also be a favourable captaincy option.
  • Kieran Trippier (49.5%) – Newcastle go into their match with Everton off the back of a 1-0 victory against Manchester United. Amongst the returns was this man who managed a huge 12 points. Tippier has multiple routes to points so there is no surprise he ranks as the fourth highest owned player in the game.
  • Ollie Watkins (38%) – Many within the community sold Watkins last week. That could turn out to be a good move this week as he faces a tough Manchester City defence next up.

Who is else is highly owned?

  • Alphonse Areola (37.9%) – The West Ham goalkeeper is the highest owned in his position. Areola has struggled in terms of clean sheets recently and that may continue as he faces Tottenham next up.
  • Son Heung-Min (36.1%) – Tottenham will be hoping to put their torrid run behind them. They will need Son to be at the top of his game to get a result against West Ham this week. Although many have decided to sell the midfielder recently he still sits as the seventh highest owned player in the game.
  • William Saliba (35.6%) – Saliba is the only the centre-back to make the top 10 highest owned players in the game. Many bought Saliba in last week but he failed to pick up any points againist Wolves. He now has a better opportunity to secure a clean sheet with a match against Luton next.
  • Bryan Mbeumo (32.1%) – The Brentford midfielder has snuck into the top 10 most owned player recently. Mbeumo bagged an assist in his latest match but also has a fixture against Brighton next who are yet to keep a clean sheet this season.
  • Julian Alvarez (29.7%) – Although somewhat disappointing Alvarez maintains his top 10 spot going into Gameweek 15. Alvarez has a good opportunity to repay owners faith this week with a match against an Aston Villa side struggling to keep clean sheets.
