FPL Experts Ahead of Gameweek 26

We take a look at some of the FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 26. With the new Gameweek approaching, we check out what some of the most elite managers have been talking about in the build up whether that be players to invest in, players to avoid and more.

Looking at what some of the FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 26 are talking about could be highly beneficial to other managers. Whether they discuss expected minutes, potential transfer targets, chip strategy or other key factors, it can all help to provide clarity within our own teams.

@FPLfrasier

It was a big week for FPL managers. The Double Gameweek brought about mass interest in regards to Liverpool assets. Liverpool have played just one of their two scheduled matches and it was full of key moments.

One of the biggest surprises between Liverpool and Brentford was Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian went into the new round with low ownership, mostly due to his recent injury. Key injuries in the match forced Salah on early and he went onto score, assist and collect 11 points in FPL.

Two of the injuries mentioned above included the likes of Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota, two players many flocked to prior to the round. Both Nunez and Jota picked up a return prior to their substitution and FPL managers will be eagerly waiting updates around their status ahead of the second match.

Fantasy Football Scout contributor Sebb also highlighted the performance of Bukayo Saka this week. Arsenal had a meeting with struggling Burnley and it was a crushing defeat for the promoted side as they shipped five goals.

Amongst the returns was Saka, a player many within the community sold due to unconvincing performances. However, as shown by Sebb, Saka has been a fantastic FPL asset since then and punished sellers in the meantime.

Saka has three very good fixtures ahead against Newcastle, Sheffield United and Brentford. Because of this and his recent form many who sold will be scrambling to bring him back in. It is also worth highlighting that Saka has also been maintaining some brilliant underlying offensive data recently, something he has been short of throughout his career as an FPL asset.

@FplMode

Andy returned this week to highlight the output of another highly owned asset. Aston Villa were hoping to put their inconsistent run behind them this week and they did exactly that as they beat Fulham 2-1.

Many within the community had to sacrifice players to enable the likes of Darwin Nunez and Kevin De Bruyne this week and one of the players many looked to for that was Ollie Watkins. The same managers are likely to be regretting that decision after Watkins banked a huge 13 points due to his brace.

Watkins has a lovely schedule ahead with meetings against Nottingham Forest, Luton and Tottenham, three teams shipping a lot of goals recently. Similar to Saka, sellers will be looking for a way to bring the Villa striker back in for the run ahead.

@LetsTalk_FPL

It wasn’t just Ollie Watkins and Bukayo Saka who punished sellers this week. Bournemouth have been very inconsistent as of late but Dominic Solanke has continued to return through that.

The tough-on-paper matchup with Newcastle at home this week and double Gameweek meant that some decided to sell or bench main man Solanke. The Cherries rose to the occasion in Gameweek 25, drawing 2-2 to Newcastle and Solanke bagged a huge 12 points for his goal and assist.

Solanke owners and sellers could again be punished in the next round as many will hold their position with a match against Manchester City next. After that fixture Solanke then goes onto face Burnley and a double Gameweek so he could become a top target for FPL managers.

@dis_fpl

Well known FPL manager and Fantasy Football Scout contributor shared his despair for the Manchester City performance this week. Many within the community were excited for their double Gameweek this but that excitement soon converted into disappointment.

Manchester City fought through a tough match against Chelsea this week but still finished the game with one point after their 1-1 draw. The low scoring draw meant that not only did the majority of their defensive assets fail to return but Erling Haaland did too. Many gave the triple captaincy chip to the Norwegian this week so will be heavily reliant on their second game against Brentford in several days time.
