FPL Experts Ahead of Gameweek 24

We take a look at some of the FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 24. With the new Gameweek approaching, we check out what some of the most elite managers have been talking about in the build up whether that be players to invest in, players to avoid and more.

Looking at what some of the FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 24 are talking about could be highly beneficial to other managers. Whether they discuss expected minutes, potential transfer targets, chip strategy or other key factors, it can all help to provide clarity within our own teams.

@FPLMarcin

It was a big week for one asset in particular. Aston Villa went into Gameweek 23 hoping to bounce back after their loss to Newcastle and bounce back they did. Sheffield United struggled to offer anything and Aston Villa took advantage with an emphatic 5-0 victory.

One player some have debated within their fantasy teams is Ollie Watkins. Watkins had a little bit of form going into the new round but nobody expected the mammoth 18-point haul he picked up for his goal and three assists.

Without a tough fixture until Manchester City in Gameweek 31 Watkins could be an easy hold. However, with some tempted by the Liverpool and Brentford double Gameweek ahead, could we see Watkins used as a sacrifice to bring in another forward?

The early game between Tottenham and Everton gripped the community this week. Tottenham have been an exciting watch recently. But, more importantly they have been one of the most reliable teams for goals this season and we saw exactly that as they netted twice against the Toffees.

Richarlison had around 13% ownership heading into his Gameweek 23 match and all of whom were rewarded after he banked both goals which helped him to a 15-point haul.

Most managers within the community will be focusing their free transfers on the double Gameweeks ahead. This means that those same managers could avoid the Brazilian, even with Brighton and Wolves ahead.

@Obay_Eid

Fantasy Football Scout contributor Obay made a punishing move this week in FPL. Like many Obay finally made the move to ditch the disappointing Pascal Groß after four consecutive blanks. But of course it was the same week the German decided to turn up in.

Brighton dismantled their opposition 4-1 this week and Pascal Groß collected a cool 11 points for his two assists. The Brighton maestro has fixtures against Tottenham and Sheffield United next so holders could continue to be rewarded.

Another key moment in Gameweek 24 was Pervis Estupinan’ failure to start against Crystal Palace. This could be a major concern for owners after only recently purchasing him. Some may even use him as a scapegoat to bring in a Manchester City defender for the upcoming double Gameweek.

@FPL_JianBatra

Another highly owned player made a bold statement in Gameweek 23. Newcastle are in a lovely period of fixtures at the moment and some decided to bite the bullet and pick up some of their assets despite the having double Gameweeks to plan for.

One of the players many had on their radar was of course Kieran Trippier. The Magpies drew their match to Luton in a thrilling 4-4 draw and Trippier bagged a goal and an assist which helped him to nine points. Trippier has a brilliant schedule ahead of him but owners will be hoping they can repair their recent and torrid defensive data.

Another big moment this week came from midfielder Anthony Gordon. The Newcastle attacker created an assist in the first half but came off injured at half time.

@FPLFocal

Luton assets could gain a lot of attention in the rounds ahead. It was announced this week that Luton would have a double Gameweek in 25. Their impressive performances recently indicate that some managers may just take the risk with their assets.

Wing-back Alfie Doughty could be high on some shortlists going into the double. The Luton man picked up his sixth return on the bounce this week which mirrors his excellent distribution data recetly.

Another Luton player many could consider is Elijah Adebayo who is also in a nice run of form – banking a huge 31 points in his last four games.
