FPL Experts Ahead of Gameweek 14

We take a look at some of the FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 14. With the new Gameweek approaching, we check out what some of the most elite managers have been talking about in the build up whether that be players to invest in, players to avoid and more.

Looking at what some of the FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 14 are talking about could be highly beneficial to other managers. Whether they discuss expected minutes, potential transfer targets, chip strategy or other key factors, it can all help to provide clarity within our own teams.

@FPLFocal

Content creator FPL Focal is one of the managers tracking real life players and their fantasy teams. As we can see Newcastle defender Kieran Trippier sold Erling Haaland in FPL this week and probably regretted it instantly.

Haaland picked up an injury during the international break. With that in mind some decided to sell the Norwegian and even choose to captain someone else. Haaland scored early against the Reds which helped him pick up 14 points for those that gave him the armband.

@FplMode

Andy features again this week as he suffered along with others. He chose to bring in Crystal Palace midfielder Eberechi Eze this week and rightly so. The fixtures were great looking ahead and he’d already managed a return in each of his last two matches since returning from injury.

Eze made a brilliant start to the match against Luton but picked up a serious looking injury around the 48th minute. At the time of writing the community await an injury update from the club but already some are expecting the worst and have started looking for a replacement.

Those looking to move Eze on could opt for the likes of Bryan Mbeumo or Cole Palmer for their excellent schedules ahead, good underlying expected data and penalty duty.

@BakerFPL343

FPL podcast host Baker343 highlighted one of the biggest issues in Gameweek 13. West Ham midfielder was one of the highest transferred in this week by managers ahead of the new round. Unfortunately he picked up an injury during the international break which meant he could not play against Burnley.

Many with Bowen had to rely on their first substitute but most didn’t end as hoped. The winger looks set to return this week for his match against Crystal Palace which will give create a big sigh of relief from owners.

@FPLCrateDigger

Another popular asset ahead of the deadline was Brentford midfielder Bryan Mbeumo. Some within the community questioned managers appeal with a game against Arsenal next. With a tough game against the Gooners there was no surprise Mbeumo failed to bag anything of significance.

The main reason Mbeumo was so highly bought this week is due to his long-term fixtures and gametime. Brentford come up against Luton, Brighton and Sheffield United next up, three of the worst defences in the league. Mbeumo also starts every game for the Bees which be vital for the busy schedule ahead.

@FPLMarcin

Marcin returned this week with one of his humours posts. Although funny there is always some truth with his art. Chelsea had to face a tough meeting with Newcastle this week. The Magpies may have been hampered with injuries but they still ripped through the Chelsea backline and won the game by a huge 4-1.

One of the players many had hoped for a return from is Cole Palmer who collected just two points. Another player many would have been monitoring is defender Reece James. The right-back picked up two yellow cards which meant he was sent off and ended the game on minus three points.

The result wasn’t what FPL managers expected and the Blues have matches against Everton, Sheffield United, Wolves, Crystal Palace, Luton, and Fulham after Manchester United and Brighton. With that in mind, regardless of their loss to Newcastle, FPL managers will looking to invest in some Chelsea assets very soon.
