FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 10

We take a look at some of the FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 10. With the new Gameweek approaching, we check out what some of the most elite managers have been talking about in the build up whether that be players to invest in, players to avoid and more.

Looking at what some of the FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 10 are talking about could be highly beneficial to other managers. Whether they discuss expected minutes, potential transfer targets, chip strategy or other key factors, it can all help to provide clarity within our own teams.

@FplMode

Fantasy Football Scout contributor and content creator Andy highlighted the output of one man this week. Liverpool struggled to break down a tough Everton for the majority of their Gameweek 9 match and main man Mohamed Salah (£12.7m) was quiet throughout until the latter stages.

Salah ended the game with a huge 16 points after scoring two goals. This meant that the Egyptian has now banked a return in all but one of his matches along with four double-digit hauls in his last five. He faces Nottingham Forest next up and his recent consistency and explosiveness could make him the standout captaincy option for the round ahead.

@FPLMarcin

Gameweek 10 took us back in time this week. Ahead of the new season Brentford midfielder Bryan Mbeumo (£6.7m) became a huge part of the template. He went onto reward owners with three returns in his first four matches.

Mbeumo then hit a slump and in the six matches that followed the above the winger failed to return in any. Most managers within the community sold him but those that kept the faith were rewarded this week against Burnley. Mbeumo collected a huge 14 points for his goal and assist against the newly promoted side. However, Mbeumo plays Chelsea, West Ham, Liverpool and Arsenal in the next four Gameweeks so he could be a very tough hold moving forward.

@SebWassell

Fantasy Football Scout contributor and content creator covered a couple of important moments this week. Erling Haaland (£14m) had the tough task of outscoring Salah for those that gave him the armband instead this week. The Norwegian scored but failed to add to that which meant he picked up just eight points compared to Salah’ 16.

Haaland lost the captaincy battle but it was his first return in three league games which could spark a resurgence in form. Another player on the Manchester City score sheet was fellow striker Julian Alvarez (£7.1m). He claimed a cool nine points for his goal.

Both Alvarez and Haaland face a ‘tough’ run of fixtures with their side ahead. However, with Manchester United side struggling to defend next up and Bournemouth after there could be lots of potential there for both.

@FPLFella

Experienced FPL manager Fella emphasised the consistency of one player. Since the Newcastle fixtures have eased their performances have dramatically improved defensively. Those same fixtures also helped full-back Kieran Trippier (£6.9m) reach his potential.

In his last five matches Trippier has bagged a return in each and every one of them including a huge three double-digit hauls. Many are questioning if it is too late to bring in a player who has accumulated seven assists in his last five games. Although he faces Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United in their next five matches, it could be worth remembering they also come up against Wolves, Bournemouth, Everton and Fulham in the next eight.

@Pras_fpl

Another Fantasy Football Scout contributor highlighted a very interesting asset this week. Chelsea surprised many with their strong performance over rivals Arsenal in Gameweek 9. Although Chelsea were very dominant and took an early 2-0 lead they failed to hang on and the game ended in a draw.

That may have been the case but one player in particular continues to catch the eye, Cole Palmer (£4.9m). The budget friendly midfielder picked up his third return on the bounce this week and he also took his second penalty within the same period. The Chelsea fixtures get very tough so many are put off bringing him in. Instead, those same managers will planning to bring him in around Gameweek 16.
