FPL expert drafts

The Official Fantasy Premier League game is back so we bring in several of the top managers and look at some FPL expert drafts. Some of Twitters best have provided their drafts ahead of the new season and we try and find some popular trends between them.

Looking at some FPL expert drafts can be hugely beneficial to managers. Knowing how other fantasy managers think and how they select their players can be really helpful when selecting our own teams. So lets dive in.

@FPLGeneral

Fantasy Football Scout contributor @FPLGeneral has provided his first draft ahead of the new season. He has opted for a formation of 3-5-2. One of the players he has chosen is Brentford midfielder Bryan Mbeumo (£6.5m) – he collected nine goals and eight assists last season.

The General has also chosen to back new Chelsea signing Christopher Nkunku (£7.5m). The Frenchman has impressed in the Champions League for some time now and also has a great chance to takeover penalty duty at Chelsea.

@FPLFamily (Lee)

Fantasy Football content creator Lee has built a draft containing Trent Alexander-Arnold (£8m), Mohamed Salah (£12.5m) and Erling Haaland (£14m). Many have decided against this type of draft due to limited funds elsewhere but Lee seems to have built a great squad.

His heavy-premium draft also includes favourites like Bukayo Saka (£8.5m), Phil Foden (£7.5m) and Bryan Mbeumo. But, to enable the team Lee has picks like Evan Ferguson (£6m) and Sven Botman (£4.5m) along with a very cheap bench.

@GianniButtice

Fantasy Football Scout contributor Gianni Buttice built his first draft via Plan FPL. Plan FPL offers multiple features from draft building and fixture difficulty to checking player ownership and a new predictions feature.

Gianni has opted for a 3-5-2 formation in his first draft. One of the players he has included different from the template is Manchester City centre-back Nathan Ake (£5m). Another noticeable difference is Chelsea centre-back Levi Colwill (£4.5m).

@fplblackbox_az

Fantasy Football Scout contributor Az has built his first draft for the new season ahead. He has selected a 3-4-3 formation which is a change from the template 3-5-2. Az has picked some of the template players like Pervis Estupinan, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Kaoru Mitoma and Bukayo Saka.

One of the differentials Az has selected is Chelsea left-back Ben Chilwell (£5.5m). Another interesting pick is Eberechi Eze (£6.5m) who impressed towards the latter stages of last season – he racked up 14 goal contributions in 22/23.
