Introduction

In the following article I will review the game week just gone and look ahead to GW7 in Sky Fantasy Football, enjoy!

Gameweek 6 review

It was nice to continue my progress up the rankings in GW6. My 94 points meant a green arrow from 18K to 13K. Erling Haaland and Mo Salah did the business as captains, also ably supported by hauls from Sam Johnstone, Nick Pope, Bukayo Saka and Ruben Dias. However, my Chelsea triple-up disappointed. Even Thiago Silva couldn’t get a passing tier after Gusto’s red card. Jackson’s fifth yellow means he’s a problem I’ve got to deal with.

I made two transfers on Sunday as planned, bringing in Pope and Salah for Johnstone and Dias. Both players immediately paid dividends. Dias was a slightly reluctant sell, I could have moved out Marcus Rashford but Man City’s fixtures stiffen up soon while Man United’s remain extremely kind.

Gameweek 7 Transfers and Captains

The captaincy decisions look fairly straightforward this week, at least until Luton v Burnley on Tuesday. Erling Haaland (WOL), Taiwo Awoniyi (BRE) and Thiago Silva (FUL) will take the armband for me on Saturday, Sunday and Monday respectively.

Transfers-wise it’s a little trickier. As mentioned above, Nicolas Jackson needs to go after his suspension and poor form. I’ll use this as an opportunity to buy Carlton Morris or Jordon Beyer ahead of Tuesday’s single gameday. Morris is Luton’s talisman and takes penalties while Beyer is a passing monster who racked up over 100 versus Man United in GW6. This move will also get some money in the bank.

I’ll also need to keep an eye on Bukayo Saka’s fitness with a move to Heung-Min Son or James Maddison very tempting ahead of Spurs’ two upcoming single gamedays and great fixture run.

Thanks for reading and good luck for the upcoming game week. Remember to set your captains and plan your transfers!
