Bundesliga Fantasy Matchday 25 Expert Picks and Team Reveal

We look ahead to Bundesliga Fantasy Matchday 25. We bring in our regular contributor and Bundesliga Fantasy expert @FPLGunnersaurus as he reveals his team and plans for the new round. He also shares three of the best defenders, midfielders and forwards to buy this week.

Bundesliga Fantasy Matchday 25 is here so getting ready for the new round could be crucial. Our top picks and expert team reveal could be hugely significant and massive contributing factors in the decisions we have to make in our own teams this week.

Defenders – Alphonso Davies (17m / 4% TSB / FCB)

Tuchel may hand Phonzie his first start since MD20 to give Guerriero a rest after an extended run in the first team. Prior to his injury Davies was starting to get back to some form which merited his 17m price tag having returned scores of 17 points, 16 points and 11 points in three of his last six games. At only 4% owned the Canadian could prove to be a great differential when Bayern host relegation threatened Mainz.

Niels Nkounkou (10m / 4% TSB / SGE)

After scoring his third league goal this season last time out away to Heidenheim, and netting 12 points in the fantasy game, it would be a surprise to see him dropped ahead of a home game against a Hoffenheim side whose away xGA sits at 1.98xGA. The Frenchman essentially plays out of position at left wing. He could also be in line for a third double-digit fantasy return in a row.

Maximilian Mittelstädt (8.2m / 19% TSB / VFB)

Mittelstädt is one of Stuttgart’s shining stars this season. He continues to dazzle in his role on the left and also continues to provide a case as to why he should be in your fantasy teams. A 15 point-return on MD23, which included his third assist of the season, was his sixth double-digit score since MD12. With a home game against Union Berlin on MD25 and only costing 8.2m his inclusion should be a no brainer.

  • Alternatives – Raum (13.6m / 42% TSB / RBL) / Vagnoman (9.5m / 2% TSB / VFB) / Iago (6.3m ON SALE / 1% TSB / FCA).

Midfielders – Jamal Musiala (18.5m / 47% TSB / FCB)

The strongest candidate for the star midfielder on MD25 in this writer’s opinion. Bambi has been in absolutely stellar form lately. In fact, he scored twice, assisted once and fired off 14 shots in his last three Bundesliga games.

In Bundesliga Fantasy terms this has translated to an average score of 17 points per game across those last three matches. MD25 opponents Mainz are not known for heavy defeats this season. But, we might just see one against the might of Musiala and the Bavarian powerhouse. He eases into my Bundesliga Fantasy Matchday 25 top picks.

Dani Olmo (14.2m / 9% TSB / RBL)

After a season disrupted by injury the Spaniard is starting to look like the Olmo is two seasons yonder when he arguably was one of the best players in the Bundesliga. In addition to his beautiful strike at Bochum last matchday he has also returned two assists in his last four outings.

On MD25 Leipzig host a Darmstadt side who after losing 0-6 at home to Augsburg and have now conceded a whopping 58 goals. That total is over two goals conceded per game on average!

Nathan N’Goumou (6.8m / 1% TSB / BMG)

The French under 21 international has picked up 28 points in the fantasy game across his last two matches and in Gladbach’s last home game. That was the 5-2 thrashing of Bochum, Ngoumou both scored and assisted. He has another home game on the horizon against struggling Köln. For that reason Ngoumou is one of the best budget midfield picks available on MD25.

  • Alternatives – Grifo (17.7m / 6% TSB / SCF) / Führich (12.7m / 42% TSB / VFB) / Vargas (8.5m / 1% TSB / FCA).

Forwards – Serhou Guirassy (15.5m / 51% TSB / VFB)

The Guinean goal machine moved on to 20 Bundesliga goals this season. This came after netting a brace in Stuttgart’s away 3-2 victory over Wolfsburg. Guirassy looked back to his best and back to his early season form in that game, an ominous sign for MD25 visitors Union Berlin.

After some strong defensive performances Die Eisernen have conceded twice in consecutive games which may show signs of a new defensive frailty for Guirassy to capitalise upon.

Ermedin Demirović (13m / 11% TSB / FCA)

Demirović delivered for those brave managers who backed the differential forward last matchday. Two goals and an assist translated to 22 points for fantasy managers, making them wish they had put the star on him instead of Kane. Demirović is now Augsburg’s leading all-time scorer in a single Bundesliga campaign. Few would be surprised to see him extend that record this upcoming matchday at home to Heidenheim.

Maximilian Beier (8.7m / 5% TSB / TSG)

Young Beier is on fire scoring braces in back to back games. The 21 year old is seemingly changing Hoffenheim’s fortunes around having won their last two games courtesy of his winning goals. One of those wins for Die Kraichgauer was a shock away win at Dortmund. Flying high themselves, can they do it again but to Die Adler?

  • Alternatives – Marmoush (12.7m / 9% TSB / SGE) / Undav (12.1m / 13% TSB / VFB) / Jordan (9.2m / 2% TSB / BMG)
