Best players for Gameweek 13

The new round of Premier League is ahead. With that in mind and with the help of Fantasy Football Scout, we have dug into the data and plucked out some of best player versus team stats to reveal the best players for Gameweek 13.

Taking a look back at the head-to-head data to find some of the best players for Gameweek 13 could be really helpful to managers. Picking out assets who have great records against their upcoming opponent can help with transfers, captaincy and even chip strategy.

Mohamed Salah v Manchester City

Liverpool go into the new round with a mammoth clash against title rivals Manchester City. Fortunately for the Reds they have one of the most in-from attackers in the league playing for them. Mohamed Salah (£13m) has already racked up 10 goals and four assists this season.

Salah has a great record against his upcoming opponent Manchester City. In the nine matches he faced them between 2017-2021 the Egyptian picked up a return in six of them. Last season Salah also bagged the joint second most points against them with 14.

Jarrod Bowen v Burnley

West Ham will be looking for another win this week against Burnley. The newly promoted side invite the Hammers to their ground in Gameweek 13 but things haven’t gone to plan for Burnley so far as they sit at the bottom of the Premier League.

One player with an excellent record against newly promoted sides is Jarrod Bowen (£7.7m). In the six matches Bowen played against them in 2021 he managed to return in all but one. He also claimed a huge four double-digit hauls in the same period.

Last season Bowen also banked a cool 30 points against promoted sides. His points came from one goal, three assists and four bonus.

Eberechi Eze v Luton

Crystal Palace have a great opportunity to bounce back this week after their loss to Everton. They come up against strugglers Luton next up. It could be bad news for the Hatters with the return of star man Eberechi Eze (£6.1m).

As we can see from the graphic below Eze ranked as one of the best players in the league for points against promoted sides last campaign. In the six matches he played against them Eze raked in 34 points with the help of three goals and one assist.

Son Heung-Min v Aston Villa

Many could be debating the sale of Tottenham assets this week or in the coming weeks. However, midfielder Son Heung-Min (£9.7m) can be explosive against them in terms of FPL output as we can see below.

In the four matches Son faced Aston Villa between 2019-2021 he bagged at least one return in three of them. Not just that but he also managed three double-digit hauls against them in the same three matches.

Bruno Fernandes v Everton

Manchester United will be looking to continue their run of positive league results this week. The Reds will have to do it against a recently stubborn Everton and there is one player who may be able to swing the result for Manchester United.

Bruno Fernandes (£8.3m) looks to be gathering some momentum after netting twice in his last three matches. As we can see, Fernandes had a solid record against the Toffees between 2019-2021 – securing a return in four of the five meetings.
