Arsenal and Manchester City Dumped Out of the Champions League!

Best players against their Gameweek 23 opposition

We take a look at some of the best players against their Gameweek 23 opposition. Using previous head-to-head records and underlying stats from the Fantasy Football Scout members area to help us pick out some great FPL picks for the round ahead.

Picking out the best players against their Gameweek 23 opposition could be helpful in making both transfer and captaincy decisions. The more information FPL managers have the better our decisions tend to be in terms of having successful assets in our fantasy teams.

Aleksander Mitrovic v Nottingham Forest

Fulham face fellow newly promoted side Nottingham Forest in Gameweek 23. Goals have dried up for Fulham as of late as they have failed to score a single goal in their last three matches. Another thing that has dried up is the form of striker Aleksander Mitrovic (£7m).

In the last six Gameweek’s Mitrovic has returned once. Compared to the first six Gameweeks of the season where he bagged five returns, its a huge drop off. However, against newly promoted sides before this season started he collected returns in half of his matches.

Harry Kane v Leicester

Tottenham impressed in their recent victory against Manchester City. One Tottenham player in particular has been relentless this season. Harry Kane (£11.7m) sits as the second highest scoring player in FPL after notching up 17 goals and one assist.

The Englishman faces a defensively struggling Leicester in Gameweek 23. We can see that Kane’s record against Leicester prior to this season is outstanding. In fact in the 14 matches he has played against the Foxes he’s returned in a huge 10 of them.

Son Heung-Min v Leicester

It could be a game full of goals as we stay with Tottenham v Leicester. Midfielder Son Heung-Min (£11.6m) has had a torrid season so far but prior to this season in his last 12 matches against Leicester, he has come away with seven returns.

Son’s points against Leicester consist of six goals, six assists and eight bonus points, whilst also racking up three huge double-digit returns. Can he reignite his old form against a team he has a great record against?

Kevin De Bruyne v Aston Villa

Manchester City will be hoping to bounce back after their defeat to Tottenham as they face Aston Villa in the round ahead. One player who will be looking to get back to his best is midfielder Kevin De Bruyne (£12.4m).

De Bruyne failed to start the last match but did feature. The Belgian’s record against Aston Villa is strong. In the five matches he played prior to this season the midfielder returned in three of them. His points consist of four assists.

Mohammed Salah v Everton

It could be a very interesting game between Liverpool and Everton this week. The Toffees looked considerably stronger under their new manager Sean Dyche whilst Liverpool continue their slump in poor results.

One player who could fire Liverpool back to winning ways is Mohammed Salah (£12.7m). The Egyptian midfielder has been far from his usual top form this season. However in the seven games prior to this season he returned in four of them. His points include two double-digit returns.
