Looking at some of the best budget players for Gameweek 29 can be hugely beneficial to FPL managers. Cheap players help enable funds elsewhere within our fantasy teams which also aids fitting in the more pricier options in the game.

Fixtures

Below is the fixture ticker for Gameweek 29. This shows us the teams at the top who have the best fixtures, all of the way down to teams who the worst fixtures. We can also see that 12 teams have a double Gameweek in the round ahead.

Timothy Castagne

Leicester sit at the top of the fixture ticker this week. This indicates that they have the easiest fixtures amongst all other teams in the league. They face two teams with defensive fragilities in Aston Villa and Crystal Palace.

The Foxes can use a back-three system which allows their wing-backs to get into some of the most advanced positions on the pitch, increasing their chances of picking up attacking returns. One player who could benefit from that is Timothy Castagne (£4.4m). He also ranks amongst the best 10 defenders in the league this season for non-penalty expected goal involvement (3.48).

Evan Ferguson

Brighton have been fantastic this season and have fired their way to seventh in the Premier League. Amongst all teams in the division this season they rank in the best six teams for goals scored (46), goals scored inside the box (26), shots in the box (246), big chances total (71) and shots on target (138).

Bournemouth and Brentford lay ahead for Brighton and both of whom rank as the worst two teams in the league this season for shots on target conceded. Evan Ferguson (£4.6m) has been starting a lot more games recently. The striker managed to score two goals in his last club match whilst also scoring in his international Euros debut campaign for the Republic of Ireland against Latvia.

Dominic Solanke

Bournemouth rank fourth on the fixture ticker in Gameweek 29. The Cherries face Fulham and Brighton in their double Gameweek. One of the teams they face, Fulham, rank the worst team in the league this season for big chances conceded (80). This gives a Bournemouth attacker plenty of potential going into the game.

The standout asset in the Bournemouth frontline is Dominic Solanke (£5.5m). The striker is the focal point to the attack whilst taking his teams penalties as well. In addition, Solanke also edges his offensive teammates for non-penalty expected goal involvement this season (5.96).

Leon Bailey

Aston Villa rank eighth on the fixture ticker. They face Chelsea and Leicester in Gameweek 29. Aston Villa are in strong goal scoring form coming into the new round. They have not failed to score in any of their last 10 Premier League matches whilst also scoring two or more goals in half of those same games.

One of the teams they face, Leicester, have failed to keep a single clean sheet in any of their last 10 Premier League outings. In the same period the Foxes also conceded two or more goals in half their last 10 matches. One player who could scrutinise Leicester’s poor defence is Leon Bailey (£4.4m). The cheap enabler has picked up returns in seven of his matches this campaign including two double-digit hauls.
