FPL Predicted Player Points for Gameweek 9

Last modified date

In this article we take a look at the top 10 FPL predicted player points for Gameweek 9. Using the fantastic tools over at Fantasy Football Scout members area we can find out how many points each asset is projected to get each round.

Fantasy Premier League continues so we access our fantastic predicted points tool and find out which players are going to get the most points this week. This could help clear up any 50/50 decisions before the Gameweek commences.

Who tops the list?

Erling Haaland

Predicted to pick up more points than any other player in Gameweek 9 is Erling Haaland (£15.4m) with 8.66. The Norwegian faces a Southampton side who have shipped three goals in each of their last three matches which could see big returns for him.

The Top Five

Sitting behind Erling Haaland in second place is Chelsea’s Cole Palmer with 6.89 points. The Blues go into the round as one of the highest scoring teams in the league and Palmer has been influential to that. An inconsitent Manchester United lays ahead which could be an opportunity to add to that form.

It may come as no suprise that Manchester City assets dominate the top five this week. Joining their teammate Erling Haaland is Phil Foden with 6.10 points and Kevin De Bruyne with 5.86 points. Both players have failed to make a significant impact due to fitness thus far but a meeting with Southampton could be a turning point for them.

Completing the top five FPL predicted player points for Gameweek 9 is Bryan Mbeumo (£7.5m). Brentford face an Ipswich side who have conceded the most big chances so far this season so Mbeumo could bounce back after his recent blank against Manchester United.

Who else features in the top 10?

Unbeaten since their Gameweek 2 clash with Arsenal, Aston Villa are in top form going into their home match against Bournemouth. Contributing towards that form is Ollie Watkins who seems to be enjoying a purple patch.

After failing to feature against Bournemouth in Gameweek 7 Bukayo Saka is expected to return this week. The Arsenal penalty taker has managed a goal contribution in all but one of his league matches so far, and even with a tough meet with Liverpool next, he is expected to continue that output.

Tottenham clash with an out of form Crystal Palace next up. The Eagles have been extremely inconsistent this season. So, it’s no surprise that both Dominic Solanke and Son Heung-Min make the cut this week. Hopes are high for Spurs assets across the board after netting four against West Ham recently.

The fourth Manchester City asset and completing the top 10 this week is Josko Gvardiol. Gvardiol scored in a recent match against Newcastle, showing a glimpse of the attacking threat he holds.
