Last season saw the emergence of using solely budget forwards in your FPL front line.
With value lying in budget forwards, managers are tempted to set up without any premiums leading the line.

It looks as though Everton are moving to sign Moise Kean from Juventus to solve their striker problems. He could be a great option to start the season with, given Everton’s great fixtures, and at a budget friendly price.Moise Kean possibly on his way to Everton? @footballfactman has a brief statistical profile for you. https://t.co/tXaNWIMyMp

III) Weekly
On the Fantasy Weekly podcast last week, I recommended Glenn Murray as one of the budget forwards who could be a differential. Age isn’t on his side, but consistency is.Thoughts on Glenn Murray? @FFCommunity_ thinks he could be a great #FPL differential for the start of the season.

There’s been much discussion around the 6.5m budget forward bracket.
With Sterling, Salah and Kane commanding so much of your budget, who do you pick to balance your books?
We think Diogo Jota could be a solution.#FPL #FPLCommunity
V) Family
FPL managers are spoilt for choice in the budget forwards department, including last seasons Championship leading goal scorer, Pukki. Lee from FPL Family sets out the £6.5 million options.6.5m is a great #FPL price point…
— FPL Family (Lee) (@FPLFamily) July 27, 2019
What’s good about having a couple of players in your team at 6.5 is that you can easily hop off/on depending on early form.

VI) Neil
There’s also depth in the slightly lower £6.0 million bracket, including that man Glenn Murray. Neil sets out some of his options as this budget friendly price. With the arrivals of Wesley Moraes & Che Adams & with Arnie looking like he's off, 6M forwards suddenly look as interesting as the 6.5M bracket:

Dominic Calvert-Lewin
VII) Stag
FPL Stag has produced an informative Twitter thread showcasing his favoured mid-price players in each position. He’s less than impressed by the potential downgrades, preferring premium options. The mid-price bracket is a tough one this season. Here’s my top 3 picks in each of DEF, MID, and FOR

6.0-7.5
1. Raul Jimenez
Can’t ignore last season.
See also: Jota
2. Sebastian Haller
Good stats in ??, should start
3. Tumbleweeds tbh – this category is short on talent
Wilson is much better than King; Deulofeu so unpredictable, prefer Locadia to Murray long term pic.twitter.com/GgjBiykzyQ
VIII) Luckhurst
There’s positive news coming out of Manchester United, that youngster Mason Greenwood could be set to start the season. At just £4.5 million, he’s a must own in FPL.Solskjaer says it's possible Greenwood could start against Chelsea in the season opener. #mufc

X) Rebant
Rebant has done some in depth visualisations to help us decide between the best budget forwards. Ashley Barnes looks to have plenty of potential, followed by Josh King. With several teams incorporating budget forwards to support an expensive backline, I decided to take a closer look at the ≤7m forwards.
