Gameweek 29 best bench boost

Looking at the Gameweek 29 best bench boost team. Using the Fantasy Football Scout season ticker we can see which teams have the best fixtures. This can then aid FPL managers in picking out some of the best assets for the bench boost.

Look at the Gameweek 29 bench boost could be absolutely vital to managers as we head into one of the most important Gameweeks of the season. Making sure we acknowledge the single Gameweek fixtures is also a key component in the bench boost.

Fixture ticker

Who has the best fixtures?

Leicester, Nottingham Forest, Brighton, Bournemouth and West Ham ranks amongst the top five teams with the best fixtures. Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham all have arguably favourable single Gameweek 29 fixtures, especially from an attacking point of view.

Who has the worst fixtures?

Everton, Southampton, Crystal Palace and Wolves all rank near the bottom of the fixture ticker for having the worst fixtures this week.

The best bench boost team

Using the fantastic Live FPL website and its range of tools we have built the best bench boost team:

Goalkeepers

Nottingham Forest rank second on the fixture ticker this week and face two struggling teams in Wolves and Leeds. No team in the league has scored less goals than Wolves this season so Nottingham Forest’s Keylor Navas (£4.5m) could have solid potential for the round ahead.

Chelsea’s Kepa Arrizabalaga sits joint first amongst all goalkeepers for points per game this season (4.6). The Blues have a double Gameweek this week and if they keep improving at the back, Kepa could continue his great points per game total.

Defenders

Manchester United have a questionable double Gameweek ahead but both of their opponent’s have shown bluntness in front of goal this season. Manchester United’s standout defensive option is Luke Shaw (£5.2m) who has picked up an impressive four returns in his last six matches, including a 12-point haul.

Chelsea play with a wing back system which allows Ben Chilwell (£6m) into some of the most advanced positions on the pitch. Chilwell has been directly involved in half of Chelsea’s last eight goals and takes corners so is an easy inclusion.

Brighton have a great double Gameweek ahead. One of the teams they face, Bournemouth have shown, statistically, to be one of the worst offensive sides in the league. This gives Pervis Estupinan (£4.8m) plenty of potential in Gameweek 29.

Not only do Newcastle dominate key data points defensively this season but full-back Kieran Trippier (£6.1m) also reigns amongst all defenders in the league for points and all of the main distribution stats in the same period.

Leicester may have been poor this season but they sit top of the fixture ticker with a good double Gameweek ahead. Not only this but the Foxes also play with a wing-back system giving budget enabler Timothy Castagne (£4.4m) two great opportunities to return points.

Midfielders

Manchester United have been sustaining some fantastic offensive stats all season and with a double Gameweek ahead it could be worth doubling up on their frontline. The first and most obvious choice is the in-form Marcus Rashford (£7.3m) who has managed seven returns in his last 10 matches. Joining his teammate is penalty taker Bruno Fernandes (£9.6m). No player has created more big chances than Fernandes in the last six Gameweeks (five).

Brighton have a great double Gameweek to attack. They face two teams, Brentford and Bournemouth, who rank first and second worst for shots on target conceded this season. The double up of Solly March (£5.1m) and Kaoru Mitoma (£5.5m) could be hugely beneficial. The former has hit four double-digit hauls in his last 11 matches whilst the latter has banked an impressive eight returns in his last 10 matches.

Arsenal may have a single Gameweek but they rank first for goals scored (21), first for shots on target (41) and first for shots in the box (88) amongst all teams in the last six Gameweeks. They also face Leeds which could give Bukayo Saka (£8.6m) who sits first amongst all midfielders in the game for points and who hit a huge 18-point haul in the previous gameweek a huge opportunity.

Forwards

Similar to Arsenal, Manchester City are also dominating amongst all teams in the league in terms of offensive data points. The largest contributor to that is Erling Haaland (£12m). He sits as the highest scoring and highest owned player in the game and he faces a Liverpool who lay amongst the worst teams in the league this season for big chances conceded.

Chelsea have been improving offensively since their return to a back three formation. The Blues also face two teams who rank amongst the worst four in the league this season in terms of big chances conceded, Liverpool and Aston Villa. Because of this and the fact he is the penalty taker and focal point to the attack, Kai Havertz (£7.6m) could be a great option this week.

Brentford may have questionable fixtures but the form of their main man Ivan Toney (£7.9m) is not. The penalty taker has accumulated a whopping 16 goals and four assists this season, leading to a huge 20 attacking returns in 25 games.
