We asked a group of managers from the FPL community to predict the results of this weeks matches and explain what they think this means for FPL decision making.

FPL Commentary

FPL Shake n Bake

Chelsea and Everton are the teams to target this weekend, or rather their opposition are. Both Norwich and Watford have struggled to make the step up into the Premier league since promotion last year and look set for another tough week this week.

FPL Focus

This is a big week where Chelsea must get the three points vs Norwich, some tough fixtures in there as you can see I have the Leeds and West Ham game down as a draw.

I know Leicester have been doing well but I think Brentford will be the winners this time round after coming so close at Chelsea I think they will be hungry for the win. I also expect Liverpool, who have been in fine form, to punish a lack lustre Man United.

I have been watching Edouard closely and so interested to see how he gets on against Newcastle. For Arsenal it will be a tough mental test v Aston Villa if they do take the lead can they build on it or will they sit back again like they did against palace try to see out the game and get punished!

Also eyes on Antonio can he get a goal for some frustrated FPL owners against a Kane revived Spurs. A big week in the premier league!

FPL Inzaghi

You better hope your defenders get attacking returns this week because I don’t see any clean sheets on offer apart from Chelsea and Manchester City. FPL hearts will be broken if Norwich can breach the Mendy wall at the Bridge.

I’m backing an out of position Sarr to grab a goal at Goodison and with Wolves loving creating big chances and Leeds conceding them regularly I see plenty of goals in that game.

The Burnley attack has been as potent as my tolerance for spice in a buttered chicken this season but I fancy them to grab a goal at St Mary’s; West Ham win the London derby as Antonio finds the back of the net; four goals in the Brentford vs Leicester match and Liverpool score three to take all three points at Old Trafford.

FPL El Statto

Clean sheets might not be as plentiful this week so could all be about the mids and forwards. 3-5-2 or 3-4-3 should be the way to go with your formation this week.

FPL Talking Points

The standout results in my predictions for GW9 are Manchester United bucking their recent form and upsetting a much more in-form Liverpool as well as Kane and Son rediscovering their connection from last year to reignite the Spurs spark.

FPL Rabbi

This could be potentially a massive GW for those tripled up on City and Chelsea assets. Based on the way Chelsea is playing at the moment the defenders look good for massive returns as well, depending on who plays, especially with the injuries to Lukaku and Werner. With news Rudiger should be fine I think this could mean Alonso is back in the mix as well (Chilwell is preferred when Rudiger, who’s playing left sided CB, is out).

Manchester City look very likely to keep a clean sheet vs. Brighton, who are struggling to score at the moment, even against the likes of Norwich. The Man City attack also looks to be clicking too, as we saw midweek in the Champions League, so those who get their numbers right in Pep’s roulette could be in for a big win.

Elsewhere, I think Everton will struggle without Doucoure, which could mean we’ll see their budget assets fail to deliver against Watford who would probably look to tighten up things at the back.

Whilst Manchester United have not been at their best of late they, will undoubtedly be ready for the clash with Liverpool on Sunday. I think they will gladly give up possession and try hit Liverpool on the counter, something that could suit this United team. I can’t see a clean sheet for Liverpool in this match, what would mean the likes of Ronaldo, Greenwood and company could be on the scoresheet.
