Gameweek 38 Daily Tips

With Starting 11 contests this weekend, it’s time to get the site and community Gameweek 38 daily tips.

Starting 11

Starting 11 is a Daily Fantasy Premier League football app, which has grown in popularity amongst the FPL community this season. You can select a team without any budget constraints and battle against others.

You can challenge the community by downloading the FREE App on Android or iOS and create a team. Get ahead in familiarising yourself with the game ahead of their World Cup contests this summer.

There’s plenty to consider in terms of FPL transfers and creating your Starting 11 lineups. The picks are inspired by the Official World Cup 2018 Panini sticker album slogan #GotGotNeed.

Personally, when choosing players for my daily fantasy lineup, I like to select a blend of players that I haven’t been able to fit into my Fantasy Premier League team, alongside the ones that I do own.

Gameweek 38 ForwardsForwards

GOT Raheem Sterling vs Southampton (A)

GOT Harry Kane Murray vs Leicester (H)

NEED Mohammed Salah vs Brighton (H)

Selling Mo Salah back in Gameweek 33 has worked out reasonably for me and coincided with a less explosive spell for him in the Premier League. However, I expect that to end this Sunday. To make up for not owning him in FPL, he’s my Gameweek 38 Daily captain.

He’s three goals ahead in the Golden Boot race and I don’t expect him to relinquish that accolade this late in the season. Plus, Klopp has said that this game will be like a final for Liverpool, who needed the points to secure 4th place in the Premier League.

Liverpool beat Brighton 5-1 away earlier this season, plus Manchester City put three past them on Wednesday. Another tough game for the Seagulls will test a normally resolute defence.

Gameweek 38 MidfieldersMidfielders

GOT Dele Alli & Heung-Min Son vs Leicester (H)

GOT Willian vs Newcastle (A)

NEED Wilfried Zaha vs West Brom (H)

Zaha won the Premier League “Player of the Month” title in April, with an outstanding run of performances to secure safety for the Eagles. He’s now blanked just once in his last six games. It’s a deserved NEED selection for the Gameweek 38 Daily picks.

The party will be in full swing at Selhurst Park, as the fans get their chance to celebrate another season of Premier League football. They welcome a relegated West Brom side, demoralised by the fact that their recent big performances were in vain.

Gameweek 38 DefenceDefence

GOT Marcos Alonso & Cesar Azpilicueta vs Newcastle (A)

GOT  David De Gea vs Watford (H)

NEED James Milner vs Brighton (H)

Chlelsea face a tough ask in securing Champions League football for next season, with their high value defenders required to produce strong performances at both ends of the pitch. David De Gea will be looking to secure the Golden Glove with another clean sheet.

James Milner presents an interesting “out of position” prospect, since he’s listed as a defender but plays in the midfield. With Ox, Can and Lallana injured, expect to see him on the team sheet.

He’s the final NEED pick for the Gameweek 38 Daily picks, given his attacking capabilities. A clean sheet looks like a formality for Liverpool, since Brighton have struggled to find the net on the road all season.
