New signings in UCL Fantasy

Here we will take a look at the UCL new signings or deals that are close to being done in the UCL world. We will also discuss the impacts those signings could have on the teams whether they are positive or negative. Another way to keep up to date with new singings is through the UEFA Champions league Twitter account.

With UCL fantasy edging closer fantasy managers will be looking to keep on top of new signings and how those new signings can affect the teams they play for. This gives UCL managers early ideas in how teams could set up in terms of structure and personnel.

Raheem Sterling

Sterling edges closer to Chelsea, its likely that the official announcement will be any day soon. Chelsea look to urgently strengthen their team both defensively and offensively . Whilst left sided attackers Pulisic and Werner are rumoured to be moving away it was confirmed that Tuchel told Sterling he would play on the left side of the Chelsea attack.

The winger has shown fantastic form in both the Premier League and the Champions League for Man City. Although versatile Sterling predominantly plays on the left hand side. Last season in his 23 starts the attacker managed 13 goals and five assists. With consistency of minutes Sterling could really thrive.

UCL managers will be hoping for a cheaper price tag than the one he had at Man City last season. With a nice price and good form going into the Champions League Sterling will likely come into lots of managers early thoughts.

Di Maria

Juventus really struggled for goals last season and are clearly looking to change that. The Italian team will be hoping to get a little further than the round of 16 after they went crashing out at the hands of Villarreal.

Predominantly a right sided attacker Di Maria could really sharpen the Juventus attack. Last season for PSG the Argentine returned five goals and seven assists, 12 attacking returns in his 19 starts. Managers will be keeping an eye on both price and form in the build up to the group stages.

Samuel Lino

Atletico Madrid are another team who struggled to score and create last season at times. New Brazilian signing could potentially solve that issue within the attack. The 22 year old winger played 34 matches last season scoring 12 goals and creating five assists for Portuguese side Gil Vincente. UCL fantasy mangers will be monitoring closely and looking out for a nice budget price tag.

Owen Wijndal

Ajax really helped UCL managers in their quest to success last season by providing us with great budget options that were actually providing us more points than some of the more expensive assets. Ajax made it to the last 16 in the most recent campaign after winning all six matches in the group stage. Their exit came as a shock after defeat against Benfica.

Left-back Tagliafico is the only player standing in the way of the 22 year old Dutchman. However being heavily linked to a move away this summer Wijndal could have an easy way in. Wijndal could well come in at £4.5m like former Ajax right back Mazraoui, a favourite in the UCL fantasy community. Definitely one to watch as Wijndal could provide both attacking threat and fantastic value for money at the right price.

Niklas Sule and Nico Schlotterbeck

Dortmund have been extremely busy this window furthering their attacking appeal going into the new campaign. Not just that but they’ve also been very busy in signing new defenders. Sule and Schlotterbeck were two of the most talked about defenders after last season and Dortmund have landed both.

Although offensively in UCL fantasy Dortmund have always been hugely investable the defence has never been over appealing. The Dortmund defence was their biggest weakness last season and now that may be significantly improving with these two signings. It also makes Meunier even more appealing than he was knowing we may not have to rely on his attacking returns anymore.

Lewandowski

Sources continue to heavily suggest Lewandowski could be on his way to Barcelona this summer. The Polish international continues to score at a world class level. Last season Lewandowski managed to bag 35 goals and created three assists. Barcelona will be looking add his goals to their side after falling out in the group stages last season.

UCL fantasy managers will be watching the situation closely especially if the Spanish side manage to bring him in.
