Top picks for GAFFR Gameweek 7

The new Championship campaign continues which means the fantasy game does too! Because of this we provide the top picks for GAFFR Gameweek 7 with the help of our expert GAFFR manager @TomP_FF.

Looking through the top picks for GAFFR Gameweek 7 can be extremely useful for other managers within the Championship Fantasy community. Knowing who the best players to pick are will also help managers make decisions around transfers, captaincy and even chips.

Top picks – Defenders – Brad Potts

Preston were one of the best defensive units in the Championship last season – keeping their opponent out on 17 occasions. They have also managed to keep two clean sheets in their last four matches so far and come up against Birmingham next, a great opportunity for Potts (£5.6m) to bank another return.

Luke Ayling

Leeds may have looked a little bit ropey at the start of the campaign but that could changing. The promotion chasers have bagged two back-to-back clean sheets in a row and have an opportunity to pick another one up against Hull next. Ayling (£6.1m) already sits amongst the top three scoring defenders in the game and maintains a good rate of key passes.

Midfielders – Jack Clarke

Fixture doesn’t matter in this mans case but for those interested Sunderland face Blackburn next up. Clarke has started the season in fine form – scoring three goals in his six matches played – two of them coming in the last two matches. He sits second amongst all midfielders for GAFFR points so far.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall

Leicester have started their new campaign as many hoped as they sit second in the Championship. The Foxes have also scored two or more goals in six of their eight matches in all competitions. One of their standout options in Dewsbury-Hall (£7.7m). Hall has proved both creative and a goal threat – scoring two goals and registering two assists in six matches so far.

Forwards – Joel Piroe

Finding a reliable Leeds attacker was a tough task at the beginning of the season. However, they have recently signed former Swansea striker Piroe (£10m). Piroe has already managed to scored three goals in just three matches and looks set to continue his form this week against a side who have conceded in all of their matches in all competitions bar one this season.

Ryan Hardie

Plymouth look to have another great value player in the side. Hardie (£5.8m) scored an impressive 13 goals in League One last season but he could even match that at this level. The striker sits at the top for points in his position due to his huge five goals and one assist and six matches.

Differentials – Kenneth Paal

QPR may have had a rough start to their season again but they face a worse form side in Swansea next. One player who could do well is Paal (£5.1m). He picked up a goal in his last match and created a key pass.

Yasin Ayari

Coventry sit in the bottom half of their table but their fortune may be about to change. They hit a run of very good fixtures soon. One player who could benefit is Ayari (£6m). He comes in at a nice price and looks good for bonus.

Milutin Osmajic

Preston’ form has taken them to the very top of the Championship table. They have won all of their last five matches in a row and scored two in four of them. One way into the frontline is Osmajic (£6m) who produced an assist in his last game.
