Top picks for GAFFR Gameweek 30

The Championship campaign continues which means the fantasy game does too! Because of this we provide the top picks in each position for GAFFR Gameweek 30 with the help of our expert GAFFR manager @TomP_FF.

Looking through the top picks for GAFFR Gameweek 30 can be extremely useful for other managers within the Championship Fantasy community. Knowing who the best players to pick are will also help managers make decisions around transfers, captaincy and even chips.

Top Picks – Defenders – Kyle Walker-Peters

The in-form Southampton come up against rock bottom Rotherham next up which could be a great opportunity for a clean sheet. Kyle Walker-Peters (£7.2m) offers more however – registering two goals and two assists this season already.

Leif Davis

Although suffering a recent mini-slump Ipswich remain second and could solidify that position this week against a poor Preston. Leif Davis (£5.5m) has been incredible this season offensively – bagging a huge 10 assists from 25 matches.

Differential Defender Pick – Darnell Furlong

West Brom have managed a whopping 12 clean sheets in the league this season making them one of the best defences in England for that metric. They have a meeting with strugglers Birmingham next and Darnell Furlong (6.1m) could be a great pick. The Baggies full-back has netted twice this campaign so evidently also has attacking threat.

Midfielders – Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall

Leicester will be hoping to add to their huge 69 goals this season as they face Stoke in the next round. Stoke have lost two matches on the bounce with five goals conceded so remain a target. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall (£8.4m) has been relentless all season. He could also be a great captaincy option this week.

Crysencio Summerville

Leeds are another side scoring plenty of goals this campaign (51). They also have their star man back this week after their latest cup match, Crysencio Summerville (£9m). Summerville has been one of the best assets in the game this season. In fact so far he has scored 12 goals and created seven assists in 26 matches.

Differential Midfielder Pick – Sorba Thomas

Huddersfield have a great opportunity to pick up points this week against one of the worst defences in the league, Sheffield Wednesday. One player in the Huddersfield attack with a bit of form is Sorba Thomas (£6.1m). Thomas has managed two assists in his last three games and comes in with such a great price-tag.

Forwards – Georginio Rutter

Leeds regularly score two or more goals per game and we have seen that for most of the campaign so far. With that in mind it could be wise to double up on their relentless frontline with someone like Georginio Rutter (£9.2m). Rutter has collected a huge 14 attacking returns this season and that looks set to increase with Bristol City next.

Adam Armstrong

It could be a demolition job this week when the Saints come up against one of the worst defences in the league. The standout captaincy option for many will be Adam Armstrong (£10.2m) who leads the lethal frontline and has amassed a mammoth 25 goal contributions in 28 matches this season domestically.

Differential Forward Pick – Brandon-Thomas Asante

The game against Birmingham may be the perfect opportunity to buy into the West Brom frontline. One player who could be going under the radar is Brandon-Thomas Asante (£8.2m) who leads the attack and who netted a brace in one of his most recent matches against Blackburn.
