Top picks for GAFFR Gameweek 15

The new Championship campaign continues which means the fantasy game does too! Because of this we provide the top picks for GAFFR Gameweek 15 with the help of our expert GAFFR manager @TomP_FF.

Looking through the top picks for GAFFR Gameweek 15 can be extremely useful for other managers within the Championship Fantasy community. Knowing who the best players to pick are will also help managers make decisions around transfers, captaincy and even chips.

Top picks – Defenders – Leif Davis (£5.2m)

Davis is the king of defenders this year in GAFFR. He averages 3.5 key passes and 0.8 shots a game, and he’s got six assists in 12 games so far. Rotherham away is a nice fixture on paper and I’d back Davis for some bonus and at least a half clean sheet against a Rotherham side who struggle in front on goal, and then he’s also got Birmingham away which is a solid fixture given their recent form.

Dexter Lembikisa (£4.5m)

Lembikisa seems the best of the Rotherham defenders for the double, with a goal in 12 starts. Pretty poor stats for bonus but he is a Rotherham defender, all of their defenders aren’t great. However he’s got a double and is a cheap and a nice pick for this week.

Differential defender pick – Jeremy Ngakia (£5.5m)

Huddersfield have conceded eight goals in their last two games, and look shaky at the back. Ngakia is averaging 1.3 key passes, 0.7 shots and 1.7 successful dribbles a game, which are nice stats for bonus. I fancy him to do well this week

Midfielders – Jack Clarke (£9.2m)

Clarke is simply a great pick playing against a Swansea side who have conceded four in their last two home games. Nine goals in 14 starts, he’s nailed and also has posted 3.01XA with only actually getting an assist. I like the fixture against Swansea, and I wouldn’t be surprised at all if he gets a monster haul this week.

Fred Onyedinma (£5.6m)

Again targeting the double game week, Onyedinma looks like the standout Rotherham mid. Three goal contributions in 12 starts, and averaging 1.6 shots a game the stats aren’t too bad. Obviously the lure is the double game week and hoping he performs in one of the games, which I feel is a decent shout this week.

Differential midfielder pick – Omari Hutchinson (£6.0m)

With Burns out, Hutchinson looks likely to get solid minutes over the double, and is a great midfield option. A goal and an assist in three starts isn’t bad, but hopefully he gets more minutes over the next few. He started against Plymouth with Burns out so hopefully McKenna trusts him to start the matches in the double and he gets a run in the side.

Forwards – Nathan Broadhead (£6.1m)

Seven goal contributions in 10 starts, Broadhead makes it into the top picks article this week. Him and Chaplin are great assets and Rotherham away is a great fixture, and I’m backing both of them to do well this week. They’ve also got Birmingham to form their double, and I’m backing both with the armbands this week.

Conor Chaplin (£6.6m)

Seven contributions in 13 starts, Chaplin is averaging 4.2 shots a game and 1.2 key passes a game which is great for bonus. Ipswich’s run for the next four is great and Chaplin is a great asset for this week and going forward, especially with the double.

Differential forward pick – Jordan Hugill (£6.0m)

For £6m Hugill is a striker differential for this week given the double. Three goals in 12 starts isn’t great but with all Rotherham assets there’s the lure of the double in the hope he does well.
