Serie A Fantasy Round 16 Top Picks
We look to our expert @FPL_Crisk as he provides us with the Serie A Fantasy Round 16 top picks. Round 15 saw wins for Juventus, Inter, Monza, Bologna and Cagliari. We also saw a big clash between Atalanta and Milan with the latter losing the game 3-2 victory away from home.
Before we take a look at who makes the cut this week, we need to highlight how important this article could be for managers. Knowing who the Serie A Fantasy Round 16 top picks are could be hugely beneficial when it comes to mini-league position and overall rank. That is because it can help with things like transfers and captaincy.
Top Picks – Goalkeepers – Vanja Milinkovic-Savic (€5.6m – 11.7%)
In a very inconsistent season for Torino, one thing has been constant. When the opposition are weaker in overall quality, they tend to keep a clean sheet. Torino have done so against Frosinone, Lecce, Verona, Salernitana, Genoa, and another one against Empoli might be on the horizon.
Juan Musso (€4.8m – 15.6%)
Atalanta will have the Monday night match, and they will face Salernitana, who have failed to score in over half of the fifteen Rounds. I personally would always take the chance if it was over 50%.
Defenders – Lucas Martinez Quarta (€5.4m – 6.6%)
Three goals in the league and two in Conference League for the bullet heading Argentinian CB. Despite Fiorentina rotating a lot, he has played in 13 league matches, and is likely to partner up with Nikola Milenkovic.
Danilo (€6.2m – 25.2%)
Juventus have obviously one of the best defences in the league, second in both GC and xGC behind Inter. Genoa, on the other hand, have failed to score more than one goal since October 1st. Gudmundsson and Retegui are both back, but it might not be enough, especially with Danilo (amazing performance against Napoli) back to full fitness.
Domenico Berardi (€10.6m – 27.5%)
I swear this time he’s going to play. He has served his suspension and, if you were patient enough to bench him, is ready to prove why he’s the best premium option in midfield.
Nico Gonzalez (€6.8m – 31.3%)
His fitness status was a big talking point on the weekend. In the end he managed to play for about 20 minutes, so one would assume he’s ready to be a starter by the end of this week against Verona. I would still monitor his use during the midweek in UECL though.
Forwards – Victor Osimhen (€12.2m – 75.2%)
Only the offside flag was stopping him from putting his name back on the scoresheet against Juventus. Due to his injury he’s looking for a goal which is missing since early October. With Napoli atrocious run of fixtures now mostly behind them, it might be time to be back on his train (he’s also highly owned by casual players).
Olivier Giroud (€8.8m – 22.2%)
Probably the brightest spot in Milan’s not-so-great season. After a two-week suspension, he’s come back with a goal. He is still on penalties, and Pioli has shown that he can play with two strikers if he wants to also sub in Jovic.
