Quick look at FFScout Members Area stats: Gameweek 36

Halfway through Gameweek 36, let’s use the front page of Fantasy Football Scout’s Members Area to reflect on what has happened.

The Members Area of Fantasy Football Scout is a statistical nirvana for FPL managers. It is packed full of player stats, team stats, fixture rankings and even referee stats!

Double Gameweek 36 reached its halfway point after Man City beat Newcastle 5-0 on Sunday evening. Without taking last night’s clash between Aston Villa and Liverpool, here is a quick glance at the week so far.

Members Area stats

In terms of expected goals (xG), the biggest underachievers of the first matches were Danny Welbeck, Sam Byram, Gabriel Martinelli and Pablo Fornals.

On Friday, the next article on more general underachievement will come out, which also takes total shots and expected goal involvement (xGI) into account.

As for those who made the most out of very little, West Ham’s Said Benrahma played like it was the early weeks of this season. He netted twice at Norwich and – in an even bigger nostalgia trip – Michail Antonio scored a goal.

Brighton duo Moises Caicedo and Marc Cucurella made up for Welbeck by scoring twice despite an xG of just 0.24. Meanwhile, Raheem Sterling exceeded his xG by 1.01.

The many new owners of Eddie Nketiah will be delighted with two goals and five attempts. Man City’s demolition of Newcastle was lots of fun for Kevin De Bruyne, who created six chances for team mates. Despite blanking in the 1-1 draw with Tottenham, Trent Alexander-Arnold was still heavily-involved. His 21 crosses was far ahead of everyone else, whilst having 93 touches in Spurs’ half.

As a team, it’s no surprise to see Man City top for shots, crosses and chances created. They passed Newcastle off the park, with West Ham similarly dominant in their 4-0 win at Norwich.
