Each Gameweek brings a team reveal from a member of the FPL community, giving insight into their transfers, captaincy and future plans. FPL Inzaghi shares his FPL Team Reveal ahead of the Gameweek 26 deadline.
Ahead of Gameweek 26, it’s the turn of FPL Inzaghi to tell us what he intends to do with his team.
Hi Inzaghi, thanks for the team reveal. So how did your Gameweek 25 go?
69 points and a green arrow to 380k. Slow but steady progression towards the top 50k. The last minute Bruno Fernandes goal turned my Gameweek around, as I anxiously watched my live rank drop after Cristiano Ronaldo scored the opener.
I made one transfer, Raphinha in for James Maddison, with the thinking there being that Raphinha gives me an extra doubler in 26 and I like Leeds’ fixtures all the way through to Gameweek 30. The half-time substitution at Everton was frustrating but I have faith in the Brazilian to deliver.
Are you pleased with your current squad? Who is a player you’d like to own but don’t?
Prior to the Diogo Jota injury news, I was extremely happy with my squad. Two Liverpool and one Arsenal player, with plans to add Mohamed Salah and another pair of Arsenals before a Free Hit in Gameweek 27. However, the injury has thrown my plans into chaos and I’m now considering a 12-point hit.
The four main players I’d like to own for this Gameweek and beyond are Salah, Alexandre Lacazette, Aaron Ramsdale and either Kieran Tierney or Gabriel – haven’t made my mind up on which one yet!
What are your transfer plans for Gameweek 26 and beyond?
I’d like to keep Fernandes as I think he’ll do well against Leeds but it’s a transfer I’m going to make down the line anyways. The plan is Fernandes to Salah, Jed Steer to Ramsdale, Craig Dawson to an Arsenal defender and Ollie Watkins to Lacazette as a -12. It means I’ll have nine Double Gameweek players, plus Joao Cancelo and Jarrod Bowen.
Jota will ride the bench and I’ll sell him following my Free Hit in 28 for either Maddison or Philippe Coutinho, in preparation for Gameweek 30. The plan is to no-chip 30 and Wildcard afterwards.
And finally, what about captaincy?
