Fantasy5 Picks GW26: Robertson and Coutinho backed to maintain good form

Who are the best FPL Fantasy5 picks ahead of the next round? We go through our picks for the week.

Here at Fantasy Football Community, we really enjoy the Fantasy5 game. It’s a free-to-play challenge, where each week you select a player from five matches who you back to beat their designated ‘points target’. It follows the exact same scoring system as FPL, just without bonus points.

Get all five correct and you get a split of the £10,000 jackpot prize. Full terms and conditions are here.

For each round, we will have our own attempt at five successful picks.

GAMEWEEK 26 FANTASY5 PICKS

  • Liverpool v Norwich
  • Aston Villa v Watford
  • Man City v Tottenham
  • Leeds v Man United
  • Wolves v Leicester

Deadline is 15:00 (GMT) on Saturday 19 February.

To put it kindly, last week’s selection didn’t quite go to plan. There were blanks for Daniel James, Jay Rodriguez and Lucas Digne, while Tottenham’s Sergio Reguilon didn’t even play against Wolves. The only FPL return came from Harvey Barnes and even that assist wasn’t enough to beat his 7.5 points target.

Barnes’ reward for being the least bad pick is to again be selected. He has the same 7.5 target for the trip to Wolves and the hope is that he can find a way through the resolute defence of Bruno Lage’s side.

With Diogo Jota likely injured and high targets for Roberto Firmino (8.5), Sadio Mane (10.5) and Mohamed Salah (12.5), we have opted for attacking left-back Andrew Robertson (8.5). His last five games have delivered at least six FPL points thanks to one goal, four assists and three clean sheets. A successful shut-out and one attacking return is realistic versus Norwich.

Aston Villa host Watford, where Philippe Coutinho (8.5) has collected 22 FPL points over his two games at Villa Park. The Man City attacker of choice is Raheem Sterling (10.5), having provided a hat-trick last weekend alongside his midweek Champions League goal. Like his team mates, the target is high but Pep Guardiola’s side are relentless right now.

The final pick is Bruno Fernandes. His late goal against Brighton seemed to define the Gameweek of FPL managers – for both those who had him and those who didn’t. An 8.5 points target isn’t too bad, considering he netted an opening day hat-trick against opponents Leeds.
