Gameweek 19 Best Wildcard Team

We look at the Gameweek 19 best wildcard team. Using the Fantasy Football Scout season ticker we can see which teams have the best run of fixtures. This can then aid FPL managers in picking out some of the best assets for the run ahead.

The wildcard gives managers the opportunity to change their entire team for any reason. Managers activate their wildcards for several reasons. Whether that be to target fixture swings or just change their team up, the wildcard can be precious to your planning.

Fixture ticker

Below we can see that the fixtures ticker covers the next six Gameweeks (from Gameweek 19-24).

Who has the best fixtures?

Brighton, Chelsea, Fulham, Manchester United and Luton all rank in the top five teams with the easiest fixtures.

Who has the worst fixtures?

Nottingham Forest, Burnley, Everton, West Ham and Newcastle rank in the bottom five with the toughest fixtures.

Gameweek 19 Best Wildcard Team

Goalkeepers

Finding a way into the Arsenal defence could be vital for the period ahead. The Gooners have maintained some of the best underlying defensive data so far. One of the cheapest and most reliable ways into the backline is David Raya (£4.9m) who has some great fixtures ahead. Backing up Raya is Martin Dubravka (£4.3m) who starts for Newcastle, one of the best defences in the league.

Defenders

Chelsea sit second on the ticker with great fixtures ahead. The Blues have been rotating their defenders but centre-back Benoit Badiashile (£4.4m) seems like one of their most reliable in terms of gametime. He also comes in at a great price.

Tottenham have good fixtures but they also have one of the most attacking full-backs in the league. Pedro Porro (£5.5m) has banked an assist in four of his last six matches and ranks first for non-penalty expected goal involvement amongst defenders in the last six matches.

Liverpool have maintained good defensive stats this season and they also have good fixtures in their run ahead. One of the cheapest routes into the backline is Kostas Tsimikas (£4.9m). The Greek international has also produced three assists in his last seven league matches.

Two players who have good fixtures, enable the rest of the team and start every match for their sides are Luton’ Teden Mengi (£3.9m) and Brighton Jan Paul Van Hecke (£4m).

Midfielders

Chelsea come up against some very poor defences in the run ahead so investing makes sense. Another thing that makes sense is the inclusion of Cole Palmer (£5.6m) who is his sides standout attacker and takes penalties.

Liverpool have one of the best frontlines in the league this season and their underlying stats reflect that. Until he departs for the AFCON Mohamed Salah (£13.3m) is a must. The Egyptian is the best asset in the game in terms of overall points and maintains excellent goal involvement data.

Arsenal face meetings with teams conceding a lot of goals ahead. The Gooners have been impressive this season and their title charge looks on. Because of that, investing in their standout attacker and penalty taker Bukayo Saka (£9m) seems wise.

Tottenham have been producing some excellent attacking data recently – ranking in the best three teams for several key attacking metrics. Their standout pick is Son Heung-Min (£9.4m) who takes the Tottenham penalties. Son departs for the Asian Cup soon but until he does he has huge potential in a free-flowing Tottenham attack.

Manchester City have some great opportunities ahead of them so buying into their attack until Haaland is fit seems ideal. One of their most reliable assets in terms of minutes is Phil Foden (£7.6m). Foden picked up a return in his last league game and a goal in the Club World Cup Final.

Forwards

Bournemouth play some poor defences ahead but they are also producing some very good attacking data. That is similar to focal point and penalty taker Dominic Solanke (£6.9m) who leads all forwards in the league in the last six matches for non-penalty expected goal involvement.

Aston Villa have been extremely impressive this season and the reason they sit in the top four teams for goals scored this season so far is Ollie Watkins (£8.8m). Watkins also sits in the top five highest scoring players in FPL which reflects how consistent he has been.

Sheffield United interestingly have good fixtures which gives striker Cameron Archer (£4.6m) a better chance of making our starting 11. Either way, Archer enables the rest of the side moving forward.
